@CronoNes The AFA hits first, and I'm not sure but I reckon it could get more than 173% but it might have a less damaging BD rest.

avisynth is good, but its been difficult to use for me...i stick to virtualdub, which is easier to understand.

my problem is tht, when recording videos from my ps3 in SD (with a dvd recorder) most things are difficult to read due to the tiny text and maps in games (which r prepared for HD resolutions). anything you think i can do?

@KrrAinagotable I use Virtualdub to capture, and Avisynth isn't so hard. For your PS3 make sure the video settings and DVD recorder settings are right and if so I guess you'll need to use HD.
