  • I learned about TIm Winton from a friend while visiting Australia. Started with Cloudstreet and now Breath. Great writing and gives makes me want to move down under even more!.... I am now reading his older books! Great stuff mate!

  • I simply just could not put this book down!

  • Very beautiful mate, i grew up over in the W.A area north an south, inland as well,i wasnt born there.....as for the sound of ur voice and the waves on the rocks, and the breeze in the air.....it gives a certain calmness through the body and settles the pain of all the bad times ive had over there, but thank you for ur time tim....it was great....

  • read the book...I loved it...the best I read so far...but I can't seem to locate that village named Sawyer anywhere on the map...or the town named Angelus...but the book I read was in Slovene..I hope that they didn't mix up at translating...

  • @eljen91 Sawyer and Angelus are just ficitonal names Winton uses, they could be based on any number of towns on the South Coast of Western Australia

  • I've only visited Australia twice - and only now in my 60's so I thank my Oz tutor in an airport bookshop for pointing me to 'Breath'. This pom begins to understand and envy and be glad to take home this wonderful book and the after taste of Winton's writing.

  • yeah does anyone have any idea?

  • anyone have any idea what the song is on the start of this video or who its by?

  • ye i really wanna no as well

  • teddymullet you cynical snob.

A style like Winton's would be lost on you.

  • you haven't got a fucking clue. Mate. Get out and see Australia.

  • Bitterly waiting for your ragged notebooks to be recognised for the literary gold you so obviously think they are?
