  • My compliments Leon on the level of comfort you display with this accordion, your music is very smooth and steady, I noticed the differance from your HoHner and larger Rolands. You have found your nitch.

  • Bravo Bravo Léon c'est très bien.

    André

  • @guyotville06 - Merci, André. J'apprécie vos encouragements.

     Leon

  • congratulations for your new accordion, is very very nice.

    hugs

    jose

  • @acordeonhobby - Thank you Jose. I hope to be able to play this smaller accordion more easily and with less stress on my shoulder.

Leon

  • Hi Leon!

I really jealous for your new button accordion.

(Due to my car accident and high repair costs, I do not plan to buy a button accordion in this year)

    Nice song and play!

    Istvan

  • @Accordioncrasy - Thank you Istvan for your positive comment about my new instrument. Of course I have to sell other instruments to afford this new one. But that is fine because I cannot play them anyway. Ha ha. Indeed, I have to do a lot of practice before I say I can play the FR-1. Seriously, although I have to retrain my fingers for new locations, I am enjoying it, and I am full of hope that one day I will be able to play the kind of music that you play.

    Hi Leon!

A remark to your last sentence: I will send you the scores of my next musette waltz.

I sure, you can play it faster on your new button accordion as on a piano type one.

    Istvan

  • @Accordioncrasy - Thank you Istvan. Please send to orez_eno@yahoo.com. As you know musette waltzes are one of my favorite genres. Even if I cannot play it immediately, I can look forward to learning it eventually. I only hope I do not disappoint you with my slow learning.

    Hugo*****

  • @musimedic - Gracias Hugo por su apoyo. León

  • Very good!

  • @popleycrew - Thank you for taking the time to visit and comment.

    Leon

  • Hi Leon --what a nice accordion...and you are just playing like a pro....thanks for posting! have a great weekend !

  • @NancyMbWpg - Thank you Nancy. for taking the time to follow my little musical experiments. Yes, the Roland FR-1 is a nice instrument. It's so small. It weights only 12 pounds. That's even lighter than James' Weltmeister. It costs half as much as an FR-3 but has the same treble range and 8 accordion sets. Also, I prefer an electronic instrument with no speakers. The speakers on my FR-3 and FR-7 were not performance quality. I never used them. My HiFi system sounds sooooo much better.

  • Greetings Leon

    You learn very fast.

    Nice new accordion.

Which accordion set were you using?

Do you prefer the electronic accordion to the reeds accordion?

    Many questions, I'm curious

    Luis

  • @luismonmex - Thank you Luis for your encouragement. I answered your questions in a private message because it was too long for a comment.

    Leon

  • perfect Leon! Nice, that you played a German song for your first Roland FR-1B video! :-)

    Silvia

  • @sia1807 - Thank you Silvia for dropping by for a listen. Yes, a German song is very appropriate for the maiden voyage of my new FR-1B. The English title in the lessons is "Dreaming". Do they mean to say, "Hah, if you think you can play, you're dreaming"?

    Leon

  • :)) I had a big smile on my face. Very nicely played.

The accordion seems to suit you.

    Mike

  • @ImaLanger - Many thanks Mike for your initial positive reaction to my new, smaller instrument. I'll be writing to you today or tomorrow to provide more details. There will be some challenges to overcome, which I'll explain.

Of course my conversion process over to chromatic is far from complete. But these initial steps are encouraging. Perhaps what I am demonstrating is that as accordionists we all have the capability of playing different forms of instrument.

    Leon

  • An old german folkssong" Du Du liegst am Herzen weißt nicht wie gut ich dir bin"

    great playing as alwas.

  • @6Heureka - Thank you Jochen for providing the proper words for this song. I have added them to the "Text Info". As you can see, each time I change instruments they get smaller and smaller. If I keep doing this pretty soon they will disappear completely. Ha ha.

I hope you and Luisa are enjoying yourself in Portugal.
