@avatarpsycho Actually, Xiahou Dun was a terrible military commander and a decent governor. Cao Pi was cunning and brave, and he made Wei financially strong, and kept the kingdom united and strong in terms of military. He died young though of infection and his son died young, which left the kingdom in the hands of the rather incapable Cao Shuang. Sima Yi and the gentry that supported him were scared shitless by Cao Cao, Cao Pi, and Cao Rui.

I was really impressed with the dw7 stories from start to finish. Good job koei, and thats not something I say too frequently. My ONLY disappointment with the stories was not playing just a few more characters, however long it would make the game. My personal choices for inclusion are:

Wei: Xu Huang and Cao Ren

Wu: Zhou Tai

Shu: Ma Chao, Ma Dai and Liu Shan

@kylehnz087 Zhao Yun is probably the bravest hero in Dynasty Warriors with his only equal being Zhang Liao. Zhao Yun saved Liu Bei's baby from the oncoming dominant, and much larger, Wei force. Zhang Liao not only held out against the Wu army at He Fei, but showed ultimate bravery by chasing them off...pretty much making him the Boogy man for Wu

I don't understand why some people says stupid things about Wei campaign. I think it is the best in comparison to others. First of all the story begins and ends with Xiahou Dun. Cao Cao dies in the end he has major role in story, gameplay in comparison to Liu Bei. Some Jin characters appears and assist that makes you to see the connection between their campaings. You play more unique characters than other campaings. Every popular Wei character has own his level. And it has most dramatical scenes

Zhao Yun was extremely Skilled and is practically almost the backbone of Shu, but his death wouldn't have triggered the war between Shu and Wu. So he isnt the mightiest or backbone, but definetely the most popular

Half of the fans even became bored to see his face, that is why they demand new poster boy (Sima Zhao is the biggest nominee)... Don't think he is super fighter bec. of the DW intros. Cao Cao is described through the stories as being a villain, but I think this cutscene shows that he was a true hero. He only seemed cold because he had to look beyond the present to keep moving forward. Then when he died he showed his feelings to Dun, Wei, and Yuan because he knew he owed it to them. Really powerful apologies and for that i respect him.

@beazyo6baby Zhou Yu was an excellent commander, one of the best, but Lu Meng and Lu Xun were better strategists. Guo Jia was okay, but ignorant and very arrogant. Zhao Yun was skilled in the novel, but Zhang Fei is better, both as a general and warrior. Xiahou Dun was an excellent warrior, but he was a bad general, and was far from the backbone of Wei. Sun Ce never served his brother or even Wu. He helped build Wu and then died before it was founded.

Xiahou Dun didn't kill Guan Yu since some people think so. Lu Meng didn't kill him either, he was surrounded by the entire Wu army and was captured, then executed. Clearing that up for everyone.

The Wei story was, in my opinion, the most heartbreaking one. Part because most of them don't show their feelings openly (and well doesn't help most of them are my favorite characters, Zhuge Liang being the only exception), part because Cao Cao's character "apologizes" are... intense.

I think truly Dynasty 7 is my favorite game of the serie... Thanks for sharing the video :/

Get Ma Chao off a horse and he isn't as great. Zhang Fei had the might to take on Lu Bu on more than one occasion. If u watch the ending of the whole game (Jin Dynasty) you see the rivals of their history facing off. Lu Bu's rival was Zhang Fei...

@TheDeisasori Trust me Ma Chao is the only character along with Pang Tong I like from Shu, he is cool, funny ( justice obsessed ), strong and he looks so cool. But he is not mightiest warrior unfortunately, Although I hate both Guan Yu and Zhang Fei they are better than him. Also Ma Chao tied with Xu Zhu (that doesn't mean Xu Zhu is weak) and he would nearly be defeated. He has no major succeds in Shu moreover in reality in comparison to romance, he is selfish, bad warrior-leader and ruthless

Out of all the ruler's death, I found Cao Cao's death to be the most emotional, the way he thank Xiahou Dun and apologize to Dian Wei and Xiahou Yuan before his final breath was just... heart-breaking. T_T

I love that every game they make slight differences in the personalities, especially in Cao Cao and Xiahou Dun... in this version they looked much more evil than DW6's however in the end they showed again, they are not bad but human being... I love Wei! and this is the best ending in the 3 kingdoms ( except Jin cause it is epiloque) ... Cao Cao and Xiahou Dun are best... ! to the Way of the Wei ;) !

They know their actions cause others pain but they also know that it is necessary and to do otherwise would only lead to more pain so they harden themselves so that they can appear completely confident and unmoving despite what the sacrifices cost them.

Cao Cao's death really did bring a tear to my eye... in fact most of the officers death scenes were pretty heartbreakining. Thats why I love this game aside from the others... it gave you a more emotional connection with the characters.
