  • most irresponsible tour driver ever. ok if u want to put your own life in danger, be my guest! but don't be stupid with other people's lives for crying out loud. I hope Timmer fired him after this one.

  • i saw this on Storm Stories

  • Well, according to the comments section here there's approximately 100 million amateur storm chasers in the U.S.

Why must faggots ruin everything that's awesome?

  • This is a perfect example of why the National Weather Service *hates* tornado chasers, as opposed to storm spotters. Storm spotters are trained where to position themselves so they can see the structure of the storm and the tornado without endangering themselves and others. Not only did this chaser endanger himself and everybody in the car while driving backwards and stopping in the road to film the house, he nearly caused a traffic accident. This is the *height* of irresponsible storm chasing.

  • @CH3CH2OCH2CH3net Responsible storm chasers don't do this - they obey traffic laws and treat the storms with the respect they deserve (see: not driving into a rain shaft when you know there is a tornado there). It's just these apes who give the good ones a bad name.

  • yea im a person that has been in three un predicted tornadoes and watched them appear rite in front of my eyes so being that close to one not predicting what it can do is jus down ritght ignorance

and im from 30 mins where that tornado was filmed

  • yea im a person that has been in three un predicted tornadoes and watched them appear rite in front of my eyes so being that close to one not predicting what it can do is jus down ritght ignorance

  • I do know one thing. if I was there, I would have kicked that chick out on her ass . Really annoying...

  • Did I hear him say "We fucked up?" Because they certainly did, even though they survived.

  • ow!! men haha

  • it was funny bacz that sayin back!! up!! back!! up!! o my god

  • it was funny bacz that guy is sayin back!!! up!! back!! up!! it was

  • DAMN NATURE YOUR SCARY!!!!!

  • extrime!

  • I wud have peed my pants lol

  • intense!

  • it's funny, you get these storm chasers and they all seem to shit themselves when it comes down to it

  • @GreyFox985 I've thought that too..lol many times, but I still have recurring dreams once in a while about the Hesston tornado in the 80s and I wake up in the same condition I was in during thst nightmare: screaming at the top of my lungs.

  • i remember this... i live in kirksville and my family was goin in the basement and my four year old brother was screamin. scary f***ing day

  • I got too close to the same tornado about 20 minutes before you. The outer edge of the vortex passed over my car.

  • there were several people that got a little to close to this tornado on that dy i have been 150 yards from a tornado but never that close love chasing and severe weather but i try not to die while doing it.

  • Back Up!!!!! LOL

  • i live in milan imssouri which is 30 minutes away from kirksville. The tornado ripped a church. And it killed a lunch lady! :(

  • guys this is gonna sound real stupid of me but what is a debris? i really dont wanna rely on google for this :)

  • Debris (not "a debris") is remains of something that had been destroyed. In this case, all the objects you see flying around is debris.

  • thanks i never know how to pronounce things lol so like the remains of a house from a tornado? anyways thanks :)

  • @kyle915 "are" debris, not "is" debris. ;)

  • @Stringprodigy I stand corrected. My grammar has improved in the last 11 months. Looking back, someone should have murdered me for writing that.

  • im glad these guys chose chasing tornadoes instead of documenting animals, imagine a rabbit hops from the bushes "OH MY GOD! BACK UUUUUUP! BACK UUUUUUP! OH SH*T!"

  • wow, can't hold camera steady.

  • holy crap! i wish they had a video probe there and they placed it in da path

  • How much is it to go one of these tornado tours? Sign me up! Always loved the thought of chasing weather like that. Living in Oregon, all you see is one thing.....RAIN! Boooooring!

  • Thank you.

No man should ever talk to a women the way that guy did.

    lol thanks!!

  • Ouch, rain wrapped.... bad situation really scary... Something like that may kill once a storm chaser, there are several close calls on the tube

  • what ever hapend to da house u just stopd filming it lol

  • we're allright, we're allright, I hope we're alright...

  • We were the ones in the red blazer with the flashing lights.

It very well could be that the rest of the chasers were trying to do the same thing we were. We thought we were trying to get ahead of the storm so we could get in a safe spot to watch it.

Those that weren't there have no way of knowing how we all got caught in the situation. You couldn't just do a U-turn to turn around, there were too many vehicles, the road wasn't wide enough and there weren't any side roads.

  • we're all-right

    next sentence

    baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack the fuck up.

    rookies

  • Someone PLEASE put tape over the female's mouth. She's annoying as hell and dumb as a bucket of hair.

  • Dumb as a bucket of hair! LOL

  • For one. Your an asshole.

Id like to see your ass get less then 100ft from an f2 f3 tornado....and be TRAPPED! Someone should put tape over your mouth. Think before you speak.

At least I have the guts to want to be this close to a tornado! I was telling the driver where to go!

    Your dumb for saying

'a bucket of hair" wtf....seriously hahahahahahaha......im soo offended. haha

  • Guess what? Fuck you, asshole. Scream like a little bitch, why don't you? If you're stupid enough to get that close to a tornado, you deserve everything that comes to you. Idiot.

  • is it really necessary to call her a bitch seriously? i bet you feel so fucking tough real fucking tough im certain that your the type that you fucking beat women and motherfuckers like you should be executed on site of the crime next time do the world a favor shut the fuck up and go fuck yourself. also do you say the same to the military that they deserve everything that comes to them when they enter into hot zones in iraq or afghanistan? cause they step into more danger then a tornado

  • Good thinking!!! This guy has nooo idea what hes talking about =) I wanted to get that close to a tornado!! Thats what I paid for!! haha thanks babe

  • micheal55... You're an wothless idiot. A pitty aou're alive, and breathing other's oxygen....

  • Eat my ass, bitch.

  • we're allright, we're allright, I hope we're alright...

    I cracked up there

  • Me to LMAO

  • I wonder if this is the same cell that I barely missed in Joplin? It would have had to shoot NE. One supposedly ran alongside I-44 that day as I was going through there. I pulled the truck over and got out with my cam but never saw it

  • you guys got lucky! Keep being dumbasses, and your luck WILL run out!!!

  • This is one reason I try not to chase HP Supercells. I much prefer chasing the Western 2/3's of the High Plains region. No trees and flat terrain allow for plenty of time to get out of the way from a potential situation such as this one. The storms are also less likely to be rain-wrapped.

  • I've been chasing for 25 plus years, and I don't claim to know but just a little...but what I DO know is this tour driver flat out blew it on this chase. The INSTANT that he saw debris, he should have done a U-Turn. You are all very very lucky. Even a little bit of experience should have told this guy that you don't F--K with a rain-wrapped tornado. This was so damned irresponsible. And whoever this driver was....in his quiet moments..I'll bet he admits he blew it.

  • @naderchaser I am a chaser as well. Even with the little experience I have...it doesn't take much more than common sense to understand how dangerous this was. A rain wrapped tornado is serious business...he's an idiot.

  • @naderchaser well he works for reed timmer so im not surprised. and that is irresponsible. those ppl trusted him and he got them WAY too close to a deadly EF3 tornado.

  • I was the girl on this Tour.. the people that run this tour are Meteorologist's....this tornado was rain wrapped which caught off many Storm Chasers.... and the reason why the people in the vehicle are freaking out because it was our first time seeing a tornado..let me remind you it was only 100 yrds. from us, plus to top it off we were TRAPPED... if the vehicle didn't move behind us we would have been in trouble. The tour people knew EXACTLY what they were doing.

  • My husband and I were in the red blazer that was directly in front of the Extreme Tornados Tour van while they were recording this video..

I think i was probably loudly letting him know "Debris!! We have Debris!!!" at the same time ETT's riders were saying "Back Up! Back Up!.

This tornado was totally rain rapped and we were going up and down hills on a road that was tree lined and you couldn't see far enough ahead to see that there was a tornado until we were almost in it.

  • Some storm chasers are scientists trying to learn valuable data that may save lives. Tornado chasers are not idiots!

  • I NEVER said that the TRUE Storm Chasers are idoits, only the Tornado Touring companies and the people that pays for that tours are, because, We already have professional Storm Chasers, along with the New Vortex 2 program, as well as experts in the feild of sever weather out there, gathering info on tornadoes, etc,. The last thing they need is a buch of wanna-be storm chasers getting in their way with their tour bus and or tour vans.. I said that the true Storm Chasers are heroes if anything!

  • I agree with Hyperfoxtails.. It's stupit to have Tornado tours any way..

  • Why? Normal Tornado tours stay far away from the tornado, much farther than the storm chasers normally are when observing a tornado.

Although this isn't a normal Tornado tour, so I guess they were lucky to get out alive.

  • ....stupit???..... how about you learn how to spell before you call anyone stupid.

  • nice speech. people sacrificing themselves for the better knowledge of tornadoes while you just complain from the comfort of your home. bravo.

  • You missed the point completely, What I am saying is that there all ways will be the need for Professional Storm Chasers who have been trained by the Experts, but not for money making fools that doesn't care for peoples savety just to get a thrill.. That's what theme-Parks are for!

  • you are off base.....they give tours for people that want to experience it. Lack of knowledge can kill you , so they take people on a chase where their safety is much higher. Not too hard to understand.

Bungee jumping and skydiving are far more dangerous, but it's ok to pay people to put them in danger too....right?

  • great vid!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BACK UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • thats about as close as you wanna get

  • damnit, my apt is in kville!

  • Kirksville MO is like a half hour away from where I live, and where I am it barely even rained...wow

  • I live a few miles south of town, and it was pouring soo bad.

  • wow, really? damn, i must have been lucky.

  • I love the "we're alright, we're alright, I hope we're alright...BACK UP BACK UP"...

and then "film this house" and then the missed tornado hitting the house.

  • Ahhh dude thats hilarious! I didnt realize that until you pointed it out! Hahaha

  • I think I saw it but maybe not =s. @_@

and ROFL!!!!!! "BACK UP!!! BACK UP!!!!!" haha! that line is in like, every one of your guys' vids! XD!

  • i live in Wentzville

  • nice

  • OK, guys... So what happened to the house? I remember in '99 on SW 134th, that F5 ripped the surface off the concrete. Is that what I saw in the very last scene?

Uncle Jim from Moore (the tornado capitol of the world).

  • Nice footage. You guys need to get into the intercept vehicle. Get some good solid interior footage. Vertical band data, be really interesting to see the results of that. Hope you put it on your WS. No more 'backing up' guys lol. Very brave. Thanks.

  • You guys are going to die one day. Once again you've really pushed it too far. At least you'll die living your passion!

  • @meche182 No storm chaser has died yet chasing a storm. There have been some close calls (like this) that usually involve CG (cloud-ground) lightning. I do not look forward to the day when that first death happens.

  • i was at work when i heard about all this...just about anywhere in missouri you had bad weather...and i live in central missouri

  • Awesomee!!:]

  • sweet footage, I got the same one as it moved through novinger

  • sexy.

  • Back up! BACK UP!!

  • awsome

  • Had nothing to do with god

  • wow that HAD to be scary

  • WOW... what an experience for the people that never saw a tornado before.. I would of pissed my pants and then some...this video shows how most people would act when thier in this situation.... PRETTY HARD TO STAY CALM.. GOOD VIDEO...

  • Comment removed

  • Film the house !!

  • Don't go on a tornado chase if you are going to shit a brick... anyways if I had to die one way might as well be by a tornado.

  • Yeah this was pretty neat to see a couple of days ago, was at my grandparents house when this happened.

  • bring me, i promise i wont shake that much

  • Don't bring people who are to scared to chase. They brought the video quality down from stellar classic to just good with all the nervous pattering.

  • omg i would soooo be freaking out if i was that close...

  • Cant stand screaming, like "Back Up" over and over.....Irritating screamers should be put in the trunk....

And what happened at about 1:08?? who cut that out?

  • Wtf... are these amatuers chasing a tornado? Screamiing into the camera, barely able to film... jumpy people shouldn't do stupid things...

  • The shot at :07 on the left was pretty scary.

  • You mean tornado Tim? His video of this tornado was broadcasted on the Nationak Weather Service two days ago. The debris went flying over his car! Great footage by him too.

  • you didn't have the house

  • ya i like the way they cut scene at 1:09 what a bunch of puds

  • Seriously! I wanted to see more.

  • damn!

That's a big one. ya'll some crazy motherfuckas!!!

couldnt pay me to do that shit.

Oh yeah, what happened to filing the house?

  • let me ask you, would you go around a tornado with a spaz like this?

  • i was hoping for something good that day over in kentucky, but we didn't really get much... *cries*

  • i was at kirksville couple years ago

  • THanks for posting this. I live in Kirksville and around the time it hit Jim Robertson car dealership is when I heard the famous freight train sound and I live 2 miles south near Hy-Vee

  • LOLZ "I hope were alright"

  • who is farmerchick42 and r u from Kirksville?

  • This video is great, and the new "Storm Chasers" season promises to be amazing.

Can't help but compare these chasers to "old school" chasers from the 80s and 90s, though. It must be an agreed mandate to scream at the top of one's lungs when even a dubious opportunity presents itself. Why? The "dinero" equation already mentioned here. Right under houses getting demolished, panicky shouting must be the #2 money earner in tornado videos.

  • rofl

  • TornadoVideonet is better site of tornado in internet !!! ( From Brazil)

  • Close up footage of a house being destroyed is worth mucho dinero. This video of the house being destroyed near Attica, Kansas got a cool 50g so hey, if you're that close, why not?

  • My family and I are in this video. We are in the White Trailblazer that came behind that maroon suburban. There is a gravel road perpindicular with this highway and that tornado chased us down it for a couple miles. We're lucky to be alive

  • How fast did you have to drive to stay ahead of it? There must have been some adrenaline moving in your vehicle!

  • nice video guys!

  • nice video

i saw this video on the news!

  • I was in this storm

  • I think it should be mandatory for all storm chasers to take a distance estimation class, to save them from I call "Reed Timmer Disease"--the tendency to estimate distance 10 times closer than it really is. Dude, you were about 500 yards away from the storm when it crossed the road, not 100 feet! Not to say the footage was not great, as it was, but not at 100 feet.

  • so uh, if this is a tornado video, who the hell cares about the house. the tornado was behind the house anyway.

  • Please be careful. The chase needs to be calm enough and quiet enough that the driver can make accurate and thoughtful judgments. You should never "be in the tornado" nor causing a traffic emergency. Rule number one must be safety and safeguarding lives no matter what the thrill of the moment. This is a great video and I'm sure they are experienced but I see all sorts of warning signs here you need to think about. Forgive me for lecturing.

  • Gotta love the "Back up!" moments.

  • I'm trying to think of words to describe the people in this video. "Stupid" isn't exactly it, since the driver was clearly smart enough to know how far away to stay from the tornado. "Ballsy" is a better word. Stay safe, I guess, you freaky, ballsy, storm-chasing weirdos. Having been caught in a tornado while driving, you couldn't pay me to do what you do.

  • lol at the beginning holy ffff---- god.

  • They allways call it in! Whats wrong with getting good footage

  • I live in Mo. The weather is wicked and wierd here.

  • They do not - "Film the house" is not warning the public.

  • awesome guys keep up the good work cause you are doin a great job were you in the new car?

  • That is me and my family in that blazer that pops up over the hill. We ran from the tornado for over 2 miles and we were in it almost the hole time. i thought i was gunna die.

  • You are complete idiots - and if you don't get clients killed, other people will die trying to get closer and post it. I can't wait for the liability to catch up with you meatheads and shut you down - we'll all be safer without you on the roads.

  • Your are an idiot. It was rain wrapped and they couldnt see it

  • Chill out. storm chasers warn the public

  • Funny thing is storm chasers give vital information to warn the public, which in turn saves lives....so yes, you guessed it...you in fact are the complete idiot here.

  • Some responsible ones do provide information to 911 or appropriate agencies with their observations. This specific video shows irresponsible actions by chasers who are taking risks for profit. This tour group isn't providing information in this case. What is the advantage on being so close you have to scream 'back up'. Many of us who have been responsibly chasing for 20+ years see plenty of tornadoes from a safe distance and enjoy the observation of nature. This is not the case in this example.

  • Great capture guys! This was a rain wrapped monster.

  • good vid the only bad thing is that there was a woman killed in Kirksville by the tornado lastnight pray for her family and all the other people that had to deal whith the storms lastnight and be safe out there God bless you all

  • I have relatives that live there i was hoping I would get something like that.

  • Just yelling....and more yelling....

  • i live like 2 hours away from kirksville

  • intense!! =P

  • cool

  • Awesome

  • right, only awesome!!!

  • I think Blake was shaking a little, huh? :)

  • Noobs.

  • id be like ... pass the bowl. :D

  • 100 feet is to close dude. They could of died where they were if the tornado was stronger

  • there's a reason they are called EXTREME Tornado Tours

  • My God folks. Have you ever seen a tornado before? Calm down to start with, panicing will get you killed. You were not in the tornado, you were not 100ft from the tornado. Geeze.

  • this is tornado chasing for you my friend..... its WAY too exciting, heart pounding action! And plus that tornado was fairly close preferring to how fast it was moving, and yes panicing will get you killed lol.

  • You have no idea who this is, do you... lmfao.

  • wow i wish i was there, i understand the danger of it BUT i'd love to see it up close like that. Must be scary but thrilling at the same time.

  • Yeah I 2nd that owenowen bringing along a women is a bad idea.

  • wish i was on that tour! awesome!

  • that was a little close, dont ya think?

  • Amazing video! Just remember to be careful out there! :)

  • Geezus, calm down dude. Also, never bring along women.....

  • insane! be carefull ;) 5/5

  • Nice video guys! I bet those vacationers had the time of their lives!!!

  • If they won't back up just mow em' down! Put something on the back of your vehicle that says DO NOT BLOCK ME - I would .. then if they block you in screw em.

  • If they are so close that their escape is jeopardized by the OTHER car full of screaming idiots, they are TOO DAMN CLOSE.

No worries; Darwin will sort them out soon enough.

  • In WAYYYYYY to fucking deep... you already know you guys got a gift making it out of this one alive... BE CAREFUL the rest of the season. These "gifts" are rare.
