John's a ruthless self publicist too,make no mistake.When he got shot he even took a picture of himself on camera auto timer,looking suitably upset with his bullet hole visible.He's an egotist,an adrenaline / war junkie like a lot of war journalists.He's no great photographer either.Let's ask ourselves a question too.....do we need to see images of war?....has there been anything unsaid about war that needs to be uncovered?.answer-no.Its boys and toys.Boys from good neighborhoods who need scars.

John is a great guy. Met him out in Afghanistan. He really does go where few journalists ever make it. I wish I could find more of his stuff that included my unit but his mission was to report on the ANA and the three Marines at my base training them.
