  • Spinal Tap

  • Bad Ass 6 string

  • I like his setup, but his string choice is way too skinny . If your after a thin, wimpy sound then use thin wimpy strings. If you want a heavy and huge sound use heavy gauge strings. I like to buy packs of strings for 7 string guitars and simply throw the smallest skinny string in the trash can. What you end up with is a 6 string set gauged about the same as what Stevie Ray Vaughn used to use.

  • @bigrigJim

You do know that BIlly Gibbons uses 7's right?

His tone is massive and those strings are a full 2 gauges smaller than Reb's.

Players with a light touch should be using lighter srings. I guy with a heavy touch that really digs in can get a big string going...a softer hitter will get a wearker tone out of a larger string.

    Physics....it has real world applications

  • Brandon DiCamillo?

  • "It's a brazillian very hard wood"

  • What's with that languorous look at 3:03?

  • damn the vol knob might aswell be on the pickup:P

  • That's Phoebe's dad people!!!

  • The RBM2NT (signature model shown) did come with an original edge.

  • My vote: +1 Ibanez Edge. [Original Edge]

Back to an extent in 2010, the new Ibanez systems are fantastic, but also aimed at avoiding Floyd licence costs.

The Edge came out in '86, as a massive improvement over the OFR.

  • @IIHamishII

    +1

  • @IIHamishII Agreed. I have a '93 Ibanez RG470 with the Original Edge tremolo and I have never played a better locking tremolo system in my life.

  • @IIHamishII Agreed! I had an ESP with a Floyd Rose on it and I couldn't stand it.

  • Who's the spaz interviewing him?

  • @sp00ktube That's "Jersey" Joe Bosso.

  • i've said it before and i'll say it again, that guitar is fucking beautiful

  • @mivec25 Always been one of my favorites, too.

  • @CamW91 if you set them up right, the ibanez trems are acutally very good and stay in tune perfectley

  • He is so awesome!! I love how he has Cinderella on his shirt XD one of the best 80's bands period

  • pao ferro also grows in mexico

  • Yeah he put it on there for that reason. Original floyds are the best trem hands down. Nothing stays in tune better and nothing takes the beating that players especially like reb put on them. Abuse them and they still stay in tune.

  • He is a great guitarist. Its interesting that he put an Original Floyd Rose trem his custom guitar rather than one of those Ibanez trems. He made the right choice. In my opinion, Ibanez trems feel flemsy and come out of tune easily. Maybe im biased because i have an original floyd rose. anyways, great tapping technique. Reb knows his stuff.

  • @CamW91 Some of the Ibanez trems (on the cheaper guitars) are rather crap, but the ones like the edge pro are simply amazing actually.

  • Damn straight!

The edge pro are the best, when you play a lot on a regular crap edge III your hand usually touches the deep e string knob, detuning it a bit!

I got an Ibanez rg350dx with the crap edge III

  • @CamW91 Almost all Ibanez floyd rose systems are flimsy. BUT the Original Ibanez Edge(not 2 or 3) is by far one of the best trem systems. The top three IMO are the Edge Originals, the Original Floyd, and the Schaller Floyd. All of them are great choices.

  • @CamW91

Try say that to Steve Vai...
