i like the magnum s9 but i like the digital looks of the magnum 257 wich should i get ?

@m35a2lover I couldn't tell you really mate, it's all about what you prefer, I love having a needle/meter just old fashioned nostalga really, I can't praise the s9 enough myself, great radio to use throughout 10 & 11m bands, but I have mates who swear by 257, plus with a bit of scanning and playing you can design your own fronts for the s9 :)

plenty of magnums online but watch out for crap conversions i run a president and the new 5555 anytone and the echo pn them is just impressive but awesome radio throught i must say 73s from shaun in cornwall

If your echo board is a Connex, which I think they come in Magnums [if not, you can have one installed], just set your delay to maximum and adjust the echo amount. :D

Excellent! That's exactly how I have the Connex board in my Galaxy 959 set up. It sounds amazingly great, but then again, Connex has the best echo quality...the sound processor I have on my 959 also helps a lot with the quality.

Hi there, it was an ebay purchase mate, they are hard to get in the UK, a few companies offer them but when it comes to ordering they're out of stock, best place to find one is get on the UK 40fm ch19 and ask around to see if anyone's selling one, Hope that helps m8

It's actually got a blue readout but I played with the video editing a bit, must admit am tempted to change LEDs to green cause it does stand out well. As for radio it's a Magnum s9, I can't praise em enough!

Sweet if it was my radio i would change those LEDs to green for sure!

The blue fits better on a cobra or something like that that has a sharper look. This has more of a cool old car dash look to it or something. Really nice.

Is that number display backlit? If not it will be hard to change with a green one cuz youl have to find the whole display module.

It's an S9 buddy, although I played with video to make lettering green, it's normally blue!

how far can these cb radios reach if you get a good one

All depends on your amp, most radios put out 4 watts, enough to get 6-8 miles if no obstructions in way, BUT if you buy an amplifier (which are officially not allowed, but everyone does it to get out) you can put out anything up to 1000watts which will wipe out neighbours tv's etc, so usually 40-100watts is enough to get you 30+ miles and across the world on ssb (sideband radios 27.555 usb not fm ie. magnum s9, lincoln, rangers, deltaforce, they do FM, AM, LSB, USB)
