I just finished watching about an hours worth of these Match Game clips and every one had me laughing out loud. And I'm not easily moved laughing out loud!
Admiral may not be a "household name" today, but they did sponsor several major series over the years ("Admiral Broadway Revue", "Life is Worth Living", ect) and I am not suprised it was the top response.

Still, I could not help feeling slightly shocked that Richard Dawson failed to suggest "Nelson." No matter how Americanized he might have become by this point, I didn't think there was anyway Dawson could forget Admiral Horatio Nelson, the one who led the British navy to victory over the French navy, in the Battle of Trafalgar, during the Napoleonic Wars Even a "bloody-Yank" like me has heard of him!

As all of Richard Dawson's answers, it was a very good one and really for the time the most obvious. I wasn't born when this was on but unlike most You Tube viewers I do read and listen and have a good knowledge of the recent American past.
