@Nikiz001 basically all stray cats hate the smell of citrus. domestic cats can end up eating lemons and oranges with no problem because of air fresheners and deodorants gradually weakening the nose. my grandmother used to place orange peels in her yard to keep cats from ruining her peaceful garden *dead birds and buried poop* (not too enjoyable for children to find lol xP)

He's really cute! I have an orange-striped tabby cat named, Taz. I remember, once, I bought a particularly potent onion at the store, to put into my chili. Well, I was sitting at the kitchen table, dicing, when the kids started to laugh, uncontrollably. Cats generally hate the smell of citrus fruits so, this is pretty normal. Interesting to see him smelling it then backing away so abruptly but, please don't push it towards him in future - he really doesn't like it and it'll just make him annoyed with you (which will probably make him cranky towards you or, pee on things if he gets too stressed out with you).

Putting lemon juice on things is a good way to keep cats of them (counter tops, cables etc).

@hottie17ize Only really high amounts of lemon would have to be consumed by the cat for it to have a severe affect. It's the same with grapefruits, limes and oranges. Since the cat is not being fed the lemon, it can't cause the cat any harm. Onions can cause anemia in cats.
