Can this do metal? (death, thrash, maybe some modern metal?)

Definitely. I dont play much metal, mostly rock and blues stuff. But out of the 18 presets I would say around 11 are metal worthy. Even if you want to just mess around with your own sounds on the overdrive or distortion side, you can easily cover those genres.

Do you think you could make a video? I know you don't play metal, but it would be appreciated.

Also, is there any way to control the mids on the dist. side? And does this pedal sound worse at louder volumes?

I am impressed with that preset #5. You played it very well but if it sounds that good out of the box I will have to look into this pedal a little more. Though it is more expensive it seems worth it with all that I have seen it can do.

Thanks. Yes the pedal is definitely worth looking into. I apologize for my computer's sound quality. The pedal sounds really great with the overdrive and distortion cranked, but the built-in mic couldn't register it all I guess.
