Well the best method to defeat a Spotty Bulborb is throw them at his back and get some to swarm his feet, mainly the back of the legs. It will actually be twice as fast.

actually swarming is the best because their weakest spot is actually thier legs i know cuz i swarmed a spotty bulborb with 60 or 70 red pikmin and it died in like 6 seconds

Swarming is most effective if you have around 70+ pikmin because that'l kill the bulborb in a few seconds but if you have under 70 just throw them.

also if your going to throw them call them back RIGHT before the bulborb is about to shake so any pikmin on it will run off him instead of falling down and wont be stunned for a few seconds.

No. Just keep throwing them. As long as you have enough pikmin on its back it will keep shacking them off instead of trying to attack.

When you throw bombrock pikmin, the AI is smart enough to make the pikmin run away, when they drop the bombs.

Even if you put a swarm by the gate, then throw a bombrock, they'll all run away, atleast on my game it's like that. :p

a good idea to kill a bulburb is to get infront of it and toss ur pikmin at his eyes luckily u will hit its eye and kill it in like 2 hits.Did u know that if ur pikmin are carrying some thing if u have five red pikmin and 4 yellow pikmin carrying it at the same time the red pikmin will get the thing.Try unplugging everything then plug it back in and that might fix it it worked 4 me buddy =) two videos per day

The swarming the Large Red Bulborbs only works in Pikmin 1 but it works well from what I've seen.

Swarm the bulborbs. It's actually better, in a way. There's still a slight risk, but it's not as intimidating nor as dangerous as the throwing technique.

ANd by the way here are the tips of a pikmin player.

Tip one: Swarming the (L)spotty Bilbulbs is a great tatic on using, make sure you have aleast 70 red pikmin or I use 100 red Pikmin..

Tip two: I find that throwing them is also a good way to kill them, but more risky.. The Sheer grubs, is a throwing tatic..

IMO, the more videos the better, so I'm definitely positive to the two videos a day suggestion. Also, I agree with the title of the video. Bomb rocks are awesome! It's a pity the yellow pikmin can't use them in the sequel...
