The macaques on the second half of the video are a completely seperate species fom those captured in Nepal. Labs in USA and Europe don't use Nepalese macaques. Almost all are bred in captivity in the USA with a few (bredding females) imported from Laos, Cambodia etc

Check out wikileaks and see what they are doing to civilians in Iraq, look up the animal testing that the Mars candy company has been performing. I am fascinated by monkeys,not sure why, but I would rather they be used for testing, which is necessary. I was in hospital for 3 years with a spinal cord injury, and I can relate to a lot of the stuff that was being done to the animals. However, this is really messed up, because the handle them so roughly and the other monkeys in the cages watch with sheer horror (if monkeys can feel horror) as their friends get mistreated...this is really bad..those scientists will have a lot to answer for!

Why is there a lack of visible and audible protest from so called 'animal rights' groups, condemning Halal slaughtering in the UK? If these groups had TRUE conviction for animal welfare, why are they so spineless and cowardly where Halal slaughter is concerned? I really thought that these groups were radical and thorough, challenging tradition, custom and convention?

Videos like this can be hard to mull over. The videographer shows you images of these monkeys being injected and held in captive contraptions that look cold and painful. I am all for the animal rights movement and think that there is an extent to which science should be allowed to go, but does anyone ACTUALLY know what is going on here? What are they doing these tests for? Is every word they say completely true? What will the Gateway To Hell campaign tell you to get you on their side?

On the paper they showed you, it had two anesthetics listed which are being administered to the animals. I know this video is meant to shock you and it is wrong what is being done, but at least they are getting anesthesia.

I am fascinated by monkeys,not sure why, but I would rather they be used for testing, which is necessary. I was in hospital for 3 years with a spinal cord injury, and I can relate to a lot of the stuff that was being done to the animals. However, this is really messed up, because the handle them so roughly and the other monkeys in the cages watch with sheer horror (if monkeys can feel horror) as their friends get mistreated...this is really bad..those scientists will have a lot to answer for!

Research has shown that the correlation between effects of drugs on animals such as monkeys and the effects of such drugs on humans is minimal... anywhere from 0-15%... Vivisection is cruel and serves no medical/scientific purpose. The things that they do to animals for the purposes of testing is inhumane. Spread the word to stop testing on animals.

I doubt it's anything so heartwarming, but most of them probably aren't evil. That doesn't mean they aren't doing something evil, however. The sheer amount of suffering that goes on in that place alone... I wouldn't be shocked if it was haunted. Regardless of our reasons, cruelty is a crime.
