  • Can anyone help me out with a song title and artist? There is a frequently heard old school r&b song that i can't identify. I hear it often on Philly area radio stations the music is very rhythmic similar to this song and some often repeated lyrics in it are:the way I like it watching you do your thing, the way I like it makes me want to sing. Just heard it today on WRNB 107.9 after this song was played. I tried searching here but can't find it.

  • Yea - This was a stone cold jam in the early 80s... I had a couple of buddies who were into Funk, and we lived in BumF West Texas, but they could get KKDA on their big antenna out of Dallas (200 miles away) and picked up on this...and we also had the "first" rap in Sugarhill Gang, Kurtis Blow, etc....and we were nerdy white kids!

  • Oh and You can find it in Japan if you look hard, I've got it on Cd's!!

  • I got into DJing just because I had this with me in my car when I got stationed in Ft Campbell, and I'm from West Oak Lane too "Ock"!!! Now I'm retired from the Marine Corps in Virginia, switched from the Army, lol, long story!! What up Joe Ock's from Philly!! What up!! Peace.

  • Can anyone tell me who made the song " Everybody Come and Go with Me"? Was it Breakwater? Where can I find the song?

  • @nasdparis I'm from North Philly and even though I had moved to Memphis by then I remember coming home and getting turned on to Breakwater. I took the album back to Memphis and blew my friends' minds. I use to play and I remember bands use to battle in Philly all the time. Back in the 60's and 70's the Soul Devalents, a local band blew away Kool and the Gang at the Blue Horizon, at the Top and Bottom Cabaret put on by Club Bourbon.
