Great version...not familiar with this one...but that great sneer/choke/whatever the hell it is coming out of the lead vocalist always hits the spot (so to speak)...sounds like they got some use out of them church keys before they cut this one...:) thanks for the share...

Probably the Trashmen loved to play the instro "Church Key" (i think the original was by the Revels).
I know of 3 versions by the Trashmen released under different titles :
"Church Key", "Bird`s Bath" and "Bad News" (all 3 can be found here on my channel)
Each version of course are different recordings and they exchanged the fun bits :-)

I have not been able to find this song anywhere in mp3 format (However, I do have the song on the Surfin' Bird LP from 1963).
So this song, Bird Bath, and Bad News use the same instrumental parts? That's pretty cool.
