There is no such a thing as Islamic science. Religion is not even catheterized as social science as it can not live with the science element. Reason, its ideas can not change. It is a closed loop system of ideas. It thrives on the most illiterate and poverty stricken sections of the society. If Islam could revolutionize, if would have done so in Arabia where it first emerged. Religion regardless of type is the cemetery of minds.
@Busticate Keep studying brother. You would learn that Islam did revolutionize the previously backwards Arabia, and the many calls of the Quran for using our intellects and studying nature and creation along the lines of logic inspired a golden era that many Arabs nowadays feel nostalgic of. If you studied, you would realize how Damascus, Baghdad and Cordoba were bright centers of knowledge, and how the transfer of knowledge from Arabia to Europe ignited in turn our own Western enlightenment.
@Busticate It is true that many contemporary pseudo religious cults thrive from doing proselitism on the uneducated, but when you place Islam in the same sack before even having done a proper study of Islamic science and its history, you are violating the very scientific method you claim to subscribe to and you become a mediocre of reason yourself.
"From the first gulp of the glass of natural sciences (mediocre) comes Atheism, but at the bottom of the glass God is waiting" Werner Heisenberg
@germanicus24 - You've made a number of erroneous assumptions. 1st that there is actually an association between god & religion. I fail to see the association! 2nd, you also make the assumption, based on a scientists assertions, that natural sciences are intrinsically atheist. I fail to see this one too. One could argue that no other profession comes closer to creation, its beauty & complexity, or act of creation, than a scientist ever would. Religion, has no other purpose than control.
@Busticate 1) Why is there no association between God and religion? Religion is the sincere quest for the transcendental. Your claim is like saying that there is no association between the scientific method and the reality of the world. Why not? It is a quest with its reasonable premises. You are not even capable to admit to your ignorance of how Islam affected Arabia. Have some sincerity and open mindedness.
@Busticate 2) Nobody gets closer to the beauty and complexity of external creation than a scientist, but because the creation is not confined to our perceptive conveniences many of the great scientists who reshaped modern physics themselves wrote vastly about the value of religion as a search for truth, not control, as the pastors of Atheism preach. I'd rather be "controlled" by Islam which teaches me to study the creation, than to be controlled by my ego and refuse to look deeper around me.
@Busticate Your claim that religion has been around for a long while, and that it thus has become very resistant, only shows the power of reason in science, contradicting with your initial claims of its dogmatism. It is natural - and not convenience - that Islam has a solution for the human being of every time and every corner of the world. And the fact that you find the long life span of divine religions a downside to them, just shows your fear to those who have reasoned longer than you have.
@Busticate While proclaiming yourself an educator on religious history of Iran, you have shown incompetence in the basics, ignoring that the practice of Ijtihad is reasonably founded and provides precisely for Islam to serve mankind of any epoch and any nation. By name-calling this tradition of development of the Islamic sciences as "irrational" and other unfounded adjectives, you only show your lack of academic rigor, as reasoning and logic stand at the center of the Shia school.
@Busticate You claim Islam's adaptability stems from irrationality (bizarre paradox you put forward there without a proof), while Islam delivered Iranians from the brutality of our secularism imposed onto them (progress and rationality for you). Corollary is that this reality is such that irrationality is designed to prevail over reason. Your unintended claim is that irrationality is superior to reason. Sad religion you hold. Your concepts of rationality and irrationality might just be mixed up.
@humanrights85 That is good, it's different sources agreeing in that Muslim countries are leading in scientific growth. I can't care less which of them leads as long as they are both inspired in Islam.
West controll over the information is their biggest and most effective tool of dominance and manipulation of the world. I think world nations, not only Iran need to work hard to brake western monopoly.
Iran must take power over information. Tell it´s own story and everything that belongs to it. The west are good manipulater and because they are in controll over everything that is told, everything from science and news to different surveys they can easily turn things into their own interest.
Stupid movie. And then the name you use for yourself: germanicus. What a shame. Lose your intellect and start reading the quran. There ist no science, not intellect, no wisdom, nothing what has to to do with humanity, in this book.
well is it iran wich is growing faster or is it us in the western civilisations going backwards because of the grip the international jewry and their weapons , the privately owned centralbanks, have in our countries:)
it may be both, anyway its very inspiring to see how a country prospers even though half of the world tries to demonize iran and use harsh sanctions to stop them.
@germanicus24 you must always look into who is the source, the scientice, media or other parts use to do things based on a purpose and if you are not aware you fall into their trap. Everything that glitters is not gold.
@Iranianoilbourse I always look into who is the source. That is why if the enemies of the Islamic Republic show that the Islamic Republic has achieved the greatest scientific progress since the Islamic Revolution, I consider it interesting evidence.
But of course, my only source for infallible truth is the Quran, and I am not attached to whatever NewScientist or any other editorial writes, for God has given me my own intellect and faculties to find out truth for myself and not be spoon-fed.
@germanicus24 In my eyes everything that western studies and media reports is either facts that is ment to create problem or it is just some kind of fabrication that is ment to create problems. In this case it seems to be some kind of bad done fabrication.
@GodfatherOfZiege It is Surah Al Ankabut (The Spider, number 29), Aya 20. Quran translation by Tahereh Saffarzadeh, awarded as "Leading Woman in the Islamic World" in 2005.

I hope that I have enlighten. Like I said. Be very suspicious about any report created in west. They know how they can mess up and we must be on our guards.
Personly I think that Iran has taken the crusial step to neutralise all of this kind of potentially dangerous western plots by it´s newly policy of economic reform that is extremley strong to create equality in Iran. That is is reverse botten of all of this plots that west has invested so much time in. When you press the buttom of equality you reverse all of this seeds of destructive competitions and hunt after power and fame that west plants around us.
Iran is scientific powerhouse. Turkey is not even in this business. I just love west and their multifaced ways to create problems. Never think that George Bush and USA is a dumb country.
West want to choke Iran by creating some kind of competition between it and Turkey. Very destructive, dangerous and like always very nicely thought through report. All of this is plots all over again. And unfortunately west is just too strong for Iran.
Be suspicious about everything that is produced about Iran. The USA is falling and will make everything in it´s power to create problem for Iran. The problematic thing here is that it is trying to compare Iran and Turkey and it is false report. Turkey for it´s part does not come close to Iran when it is science conserned. Both production and growth. But in recent days the west has started to compare Iran and Turkey in that field by some reason. To create a destructive competition
@Iranianoilbourse West want to choke Iran by creating some kind of competition between it and Turkey. Very destructive, dangerous and like always very nicely thought through report. All of this is plots all over again. And unfortunately west is just too strong for Iran.
@CCostenjo Well if you mount a blog let me know. I can help you with the technical stuff and template. It would be nice reading what you've got to say, and add you to the network there :)
@germanicus24 It is interesting to waite and see west next step. It is probably very frustrated realising that so many of it´s highly invested plots is all the sudden as I hope and they probably fear is not worth anything. Today it was 34 comprehensive earthquake in Iran. It may be west new move to create problems for Iran. Look for persian gulf and "haarp" to get a clue of another way that USA has in it´s arsenal to mess with other people.
@CCostenjo Nice. My parents are faithful Christians and I was raised as such, so I have much respect for Christians. But they admit to me that had they been born in India they would have not turned out to be Christians, and I think that is wrong. On the one hand we can't be socially conditioned when dealing with such important matters, and secondly, God would not be so unfair as to give privilege to some being born here and not there facilitating the access of knowledge of Him.
THANK YOU, BUT THIS IS NOT RELATED TO ISLAM, IF IT WAS WE SHOULD SEE SOME THING LIKE THIS IN SAUDI ARABIA WHICH IS THE BIRTH-PLACE OF ISLAM.
