Carla, all your videos on the CD are so very helpful. I am going to be doing cloth with baby #3 June 2012 and I hope I really love the CD's.... thanks a bunch :). I think I will get a combination or both, but more FB's ..
Hi, just wondering how you're liking the particular brands of cloth diaper you got, after a few months of use. Would be great if you could do a short vid on it whenever you have tme!
DId you make a video talking about what you thought about the different cloth diapers you ended up using? I'd love to know which you're liking/using more!
just wondering how the fuzzibunz is going for you? i use bum genius but looking at investing into some fuzzibunz but the back not having a closed in area freaks me out. have you experienced any leaks or such with them?
I had thought about the velcro getting "ratty" as well. Now I know that it does. I am a new cloth diapering mom so I am watching your whole series slowly but surely!
I'm really loving the idea of bumgenius flip. I think that's what I'm gonna go with. I was wondering though if you've made a video about cloth diapering after you've actually started you know using them for real on your baby. What's the outcome kinda thing you know? Which ones work best for you, which ones you like better now?
i'm thinking of going with the bumgenius flip diapers and was wondering how many covers/shells & inserts would be completely necessary if one consistently washes every other day?
I don't know if you've answered this before or not.. and this has nothing to do with diapers but will you be continuing videos after baby is born?
Thank you for going through all the different diapers.. i'm going to have my bf sit down and watch your videos too so he can see a few options :) thank you!
You sound like me going thru all the options I like this but not that.. now there's this new thing or that.. :) There are so many options .. I think you made a good choice I hope they work out for you like youd like :)
The new BG 4.0 do have snaps if you want them! Go to bumgenius web page and click on products, the snap 4.0 one size are the second diaper on the left top corner of the page. They still have the velcro, but the snaps are there too.
I was wondering what you are going to do about wipes. Are you going to use disposable or cloth wipes? If you are using cloth wipes, what type will you go with? I have heard lots of different things as far as fabrics are concerned!
Theres little tools at sewing/crafting stores that can scrape off those little fuzzies that velcro create when it rubs on fabric. But really, who cares if the diaper looks a little ratty? Its for POOP carla!!!! :)
Im personally going with GDiapers, and since u really only need a hand full of each size, u can get by with 4 or 5 of each size. Also great because unless there's a blowout you can keep using the same shell (and they are super cute, you're right about that!) :)
The g diaper is great because you do not need to change out the diaper and wash them...it is just the insert that gets dirty (unless baby blows out). So your not having to do laundry all the time, and you do not have to buy as many diapers in each size (4-6 diapers in each size)...it is the flushable inserts that end up costing money, but probably the same amount as getting 24 pocket dipes. I use gdiapers traveling because I do not have to pack a load of dipes, and I use FB for home
Good on u for going cloth!I'm addicted to them. They are so so cute plus economical. I have used pretty much used the same stash on both kiddies with a few more additions. I use Bambooty and Baby Beehinds. Not sure if you have them over there as they are an Australian product. Be careful of the addiction!
I have some BGOS pockets but haven't used them yet as NOah is still too little (almost 6 weeks old). If your Hannah is anything like my Noah and probably only if you BF, you will go through 24 diapers in NO time!! I think Noah poos everytime he eats and then in between. He;s a pooping machine! I didn't know babies could actuakky poop that much! It's my gosh, where do you hold all that?!? And I do think the store I buy my diapers at carry BGOS pockets 4.0 with snaps. I'll check when I go back.
I too decided to go with FB after researching. I did get a katydid OS as a freebie from kellys closet and that looks like something you would like as it is all color matching snaps and the flap at the pocket. Thanks for another great vid.
the only thing that I found with bum genius , besides the ugly velcro, is that the top of the diaper, where the velcro piece for the closure meets, folds over and the velcro strip rubs across my baby's belly and leaves a sort of red brush burn. It looks like a cut. So after that happening I don't like them.
good job on choosing cloth be carefull at addiction. i have over 40 dipes now most are Fuzzy bunz . Invest into some Babykicks Hemparoo Joey Bunz Premium Diaper Inserts you can add into yours FB with the terry insert sold with them and you will have the best diapers in the world. The inserts will hold tons of pee if you want to protect the liner even more buy some Bummies Fleece Liners they are the absolut best same quality of the Fuzzy bunz fleece interior:)
I love love love my fuzzi bunz diapers. So wish I could use the cute pink ones with Porter. Blake refuses to let me :). I think you will really like them as well. And you are right the fleece on the fuzzi bunz is the softest ( a felt a lot of diapers in the store and it is!). I am so excited to have a cd friend on YouTube. Thanks again because your video got my cloth diapering in the first place.
In the UK, I asked for samples from diff buisnesses and also the council will send you some for free and some areas will pay for them to be collected, washed dried and dilivered back to you to encourage people to chose re usables. I ended up with a ton for free and nappie shared with a friend. ( we washed them very very well! lol it really not gross, promise! lol) Shame my daughter HATED them and screamed when they were on for the first 4 months... My son didn't mind at all bless him.
Question: is there an alternative from fuzzibunz to the bumGenius Flip diapers? because i really like the elastic adjustment part?

I hope you'll be as happy with the fuzzibunz as we are. I LOVE how soft they are! My favorite thing to do is stuff them! LOL

The bum genius does look a litle ratty. But you can get snap pliers and convert it to snaps. That is what I did and I am soooo glad I did!
