I want 2 send my prayers 2 all of u fighting ur addiction 2 overcome them..I am not going to say I know what its like, my addiction has only been cigs but I do know know the life of living with an addict,splitting due to the addiction n losing that person n the father of my children+2 other children 2 an accidental OD by his addiction..it's a long hard battle but I believe its possible 4 every1 to beat the demon of addiction if u give it all u have..may God be with you

The minute I heard this song it struck a chord with me but for a different reason. Though I have never been through addiction I surely have been through some tough times in my life and have been in the dark hopeless places she talks about but like the song - I"m still here!! Its funny how a song can make u really think. It touched home. Both of my parents are alcoholics and it to my dad going to jail and my mom put on probation to get straight.i thank god every day im not like my parents. I swore to myself when i was younger that no matter what i would not put my kids through what i went through. I want to put all the memories away and never remember them. In July of 09 my world just ended, 30 yrs of being a dedicated friend, & caretaker she burned me, so I was killing myself, My liver shut down, my kidneys shut down, and I lived, with more torment from this friend, I again tried to make it so I wasn't here, why live?, then I was watching the show and saw Mindy sing this powerful song, It made me want to live, somehow, all I can say is I'm still here, and I hope she knows that she helped me, thank you Mindy..love your friend & fan...P Cassaro

@klap9333 That episod was shown in Sweden, only 5 minutes ago. I was 10 years old when my parents were sent of to rehab and this summer they've ben clean for 10 years, after 21 years of addiction ~16 of heroin addiction. My mom was 12 years "old" when she started taking drugs.

I called her after seeing Tom's reaction. I was crying my eyes out, so was she. She said that her reaction was the same one. She fell asleep as a 12 year old girl and woke up as a 31 year old woman "Look how young I was"

Thank you all for the nice comments! I did nnot fully understand what was going on until I too watched the most recent episode of celebrity rehab and saw the part where Mindy dedicates this song to folks on the show.

Mindy is releasing a new album around the 25th of March. As Mackenzie Phillips states (and I will add to it) Mindy has the appearance and voice of an angel in my personal opinion! Cannot wait to hear more from her in the future!
