The nature of jumps means turning in the air makes no difference (as long as it's not extremely major). However, I do have a suspicion that 1:03:8 is possible with the right tweaks

It's probably possible to get a little bit off somewhere in a glitchless run though.

Are you reloading the level when you fail? You have to have used the death slide once for it to work properly for some reason.
