You could argue that your washing machine is a robot seeing as there is no completely agreed on definition. Even if a machine is not autonomous it could still be counted.

In any case this device is taking input from the environment and making decisions about its actions, giving it the appearance of autonomy.

Your washing machine doesn't do that, it has no environmental input beyond what you tell it to do, it wont stop early if things are 'clean enough.'
