@1995error - Sager has been making this laptop for quite awhile, so it should be able to keep up with games rather well for a considerable amount of time. And on our website this model doesn't run $4000-$5000, you might spend $3K at the very most and that's with a few upgrades :) ...hope that helps :)

I am thinking of buying this for my new pc but is it worth 4,5 grand?? How much would a desktop with the same performance cost? Even as a laptop lover I am having a hard time considering this. And how long will the hardware in this computer be able to keep up with the newest games?

@1995error For a 4-5 thousand dollar computer you could build a pc that'll last you for YEARS to come. even with a $2,000 one, you can build a pretty great computer

WoW! 7200 rpm and its solid state drive (SSD)... never heard about that! I think you need to get back in school and read some more books about computers! But OK it is realy nice laptop!

@acecono Just a note... the Momentus XT is a HYBRID drive.. hence it has the 7200 RPM speed as well as an SSD component.... just fyi hehe.

Instead of getting a laptop like this, I built a gaming rig, and got a mid end laptop instead.

@PRPWR I haven't found a laptop in 10 years that you couldn't upgrade the RAM, at least in the 15/17" category. Yes, it is user replaceable.

@1208Silverize for a market with people like you (and me in past) because they earn money with it. but it's too expensive if you know what i mean. if you buy a normal desktop for gaming that is a lot of cheaper and then you can completely customize it. however, this is a good gaming laptop which doesn't look bad and is not expensive at all search on google: toshiba Qosmio X770. this laptop is even cheaper than a normal pc with the same specs and this laptop is not thick or ugly or loud.

No, I'm not that interested in the model number of the CPU heatsink, but rather, the model# of the fan itsefl (i.e. Sunon, Delta, A-power, Forcecon..)

@iM9A They do have fans in development that vibrate at the nano level as opposed to using air but I haven't seen any release. Those fans are silent and the vibrations move the air.

Pointless DTR laptops I had m9750 and it was smaller, still pain in the ass to travel with it and I simply can't imagine traveling with this heavyweight monster. Power brick is the size of a brick :) only point of having that is when you want to travel from one room to another. Now i'm stick with a combo of desktop and 13" piece of crap but at least I can travel with it. Still nice lappy:)

I found out in the forums that the sound problem is due to the software being set to 2 instead of 5.1 but I also still cant find out why one of the fan vents on the bottom looks blocked?

@john0022 It's a rebranded Clevo, and Clevo computers are the best you can get. But they are pricey, no matter which reseller you buy them from.

I'd like to know if Sager got back to you regarding the sound/speaker issue and what they told you. Was driver issue or a hardware failure? @bigkid666999 Apparently it is not a sound defect, it's just shipped with one arm tied behind its back. Change from stereo to 5.1 and tweak sound settings.
