my friend has a collection of maybe a thousand games pretty much all from goodwill and thrift stores. he has double copies of things like conkers bad fur day and final fantasy 7 that he got for like 3 bucks. i myself got a gamecube with two wavebird controllers and two memory cards all for 25 bucks
Damn, he got it for $15... These sell for like 60 with the box alone, not including the Styrofoam. I bought an original N64 with all original packaging for $35. And those cables are in their original ties. Amazing find.
Dude that's pretty decent, but again you were persistant haha, me.. I've tried goodwills/and all and even pawn shops but they suck the worst because they charge top dollar for crap games, I've never seen any snes/nes/n64 stuff at the two goodwills in my city, I've seen a ps1 with 5 crap games (buck a pop) and they were asking for $40! So I kept that and got a ps3 :P
Dude that's pretty decent, but again you were persistant haha, me.. So I kept that and got a ps3 :P
I have n64 box when the system came out in 1996 its a black console which shows all the release date games that came out if anyone wants a vid of it pm me if i get enough people who want to me to make it i will just watch ur sub box and sub to me thnx :)
@BodomPayaso666 I just keep looking! Gotta be persistant. Although I have found great stuff, you dont know how many goodwills and how many times i check daily to find one good pick up. Theres a route i take from time to time from work to home that has literally 5 goodwills and some nights ive hit them all up to find nothing!
Found a sega dreamcast w/ 2 controllers with memory cards and about 20 or so games for roughly $20 at the Salvation Army. Without looking right now, I believe some of titles were Crazy Taxi 1 and 2, MK Gold, WWF royal rumble, etc..
@BlkNblue19 Thats an insane deal! Suprisingly IVe never had that great of luck at Salvation Army but have heard of some people finding some amazing stuff. Their prices are usually great too. I love my Dreamcast!
@syphic Waiting to find an N64, NES or SNES at a decent price. Where I live, the demand is kind of low but the prices are too high. My boss gave me his Sega, still in the box, for nothing at all so there goes buying a model 3 genesis for $40 and then spending another $25 for re-manufactured cables and controllers. Keeping my fingers crossed and hoping I can get THE deal of a lifetime. lol
@BlkNblue19 Nintendo stuff is always going to demand a pretty penny. When I go to flea markets or swap meets, Ill find super rare stuff for other consoles for dirt cheap yet the same vendor will demand top dollar for crappy NES, SNES, or N64 games. Nintendo stuff is like the Honda or Toyota of video games. Hold their resale value.
@ilostmypandaa Have you tried cleaning the pins in the catridge slot with a q-tip and some alcohol? Some of the games i buy at goodwills and thrift stores havent been played with in sometime and need a little cleaning. Work perfectly right after!
@DigitalXR If you check shopgoodwill you will see what store each item is shipping from. I always see some from Indianapolis, Ohio, Oregon, and occasionally some in Cali. Also i have found the stuff on shopgoodwill to sell for alot less than Ebay. Only thing is shopgoodwills shipping can be a bit pricey. I have 3 main routes i check every other day. My first rooute has 5 goodwills. Second has 3 and the 3rd has 4. I am in LA, California so maybe we have more goodwills than your city does.
Damn that's fucked up, that was a deal of a lifetime $5.98 for earthbound, damn. I'm guessing your not parting with FF3 & Secret of Mana anytime soon, lol.
You got a great deal on the N64 & the games. I've been looking for both FF 3 & Secret of Mana, damn lucky. I almost got FF 2 CIB but some little old Asian lady got to it first, I was so pissed & to make it worse she was a seller at the swap meet. Bought the game for $5 goes to her stand sells it for $50. Lol
@rrob78 That is so funny you say that cuz the same shit happened to me at a goodwill in pasadena. They had Earthbound for 5.99 and i grabbed it and told the asian lady to set it behind the counter while i looked around. I came back and lady said it was on hold for someone else and had been accidently put back in the case. Funny thing is I never saw anyone pay for it . Till this day im convinced the lady kept it herself . Which sux cuz employees arent supposed to buy shit at their own store.
Man niceeee pickup!!! You seem really lucky with your pickups, pretty picked out in all the goodwills within 30 miles of me. But, if you see any clear color 64s, go grab them up. They're kind of collectable. I have the orange and green clear ones :D
wow dude nice! it blows my mind other people on here find such killer deals at their good will, mine sucks lol I rarely find great stuff there, awesome FF3 my fav game i play it every now and then.
That is probably my fav n64 color, and I dislike n64 very strongly lol
@Kefka14 Ill be looking out for it! Just saw your SNES video. Great Stuff. I had a copy of Earthbound in my hands at a Goodwill on my birthday at that. Then it was snatched outta my hands when the lady advised me that it was on hold for this old asian man over 60 years old. It was accidently put back in the case as he was shopping around still. I was so sick to my stomache. It was priced at $4.99.
Hey nice channel you have here, I just found out about you but I will trade you for the final fantasy 3 and secret of mana. I just uploaded a trade video. If you get a chance try and take a look at the video.
@TheUnbiasedGamer Ever tried asking? I always ask and the little old ladys go to the back and bring out boxes of stuff somtimes. Always ask man!! Works at yard sales too!
i picked up final fantasy 3 last summer at the goodwill, and they had an ebay ad of one selling for 35 tapped to the cart, so they priced theirs at 20,,,, my goodwills are snobs
@TheDVDGamer I hate those Goodwills where the manageer is an ebay guy and prices everything according to ebay rates! defeats the purpise of finding deals at the goodwill and supporting their cause.
Ah man that is NICE! Beautiful color, I definitely want a N64 along with the RAM booster pak for the few games that take advantage of it. I would love to get the Jungle Green one though.
That is one epic pickup run if you ask me dude. Secret of Mana, Final Fantasy III, and Turtles in Time for super cheap, is such a steal dude. You have reminded me to check the goodwills more often for sure.
@LMA187 The thing is you got to be persistent. It may look like i easily find stuff at the goodwills but the deal is that I frequest like 3 to 4 of them everyday after work. And its that 1 time were im like "nah im going str8 home" then im like f*ck it ill just run in and check it out. Thats when I run into something amazing. Crazy Stuff!
can't help to do a bit of promo now that you talk about keeping the retro scene alive. PLEASE upload your vids here too: retrogamersunited . com - that place is exactly made for that purpose.
@syphic For small items I think it's quite reasonable. Cool, I'd be up for a trade but I don't know if I have anything you'd want. What sort of games would you be interested in?
Thanks so much for the shout out! Awesome deal on all the stuff you got, especially on the n64. Art of fighting is a great game, i haven't played the snes version but I own it on the neo geo. Good to see that the goodwills in your area have good stuff.........i wish mine did.
@Cr8zyKuban0 Like I was telling LMA187 above, you gotta stay persistent and keep checking. Also ask!! I go to goodwills and when I see them come out of the back I ask if they have any video games back there and alot of times they go back there and bring out a box of unpriced stuff.
