  • Only left to say. Bravooooo!

  • nobody give a shit about your computer settings

  • shaky

  • Why a flash? id rather have the lenses

  • wow perfect soundtrack! :D

  • lol what rubbish!

  • lol

  • Look at the hood on that monster!

  • Guys you have to learn a lot.

The key to a good picture is the photographer. The second most important motive. Then comes the lens and the fourth in the Body.

What brings you the 1DsMKIII with a China-Plastik-Lens

    I like the video

  • totally agree

  • Ok, i'm going to have to change the info on this video. I was upgrading to the 40D, and my 1D Mark II was at my office. The Rebel XT was the only thing I had at the moment. I now have a 5D2, and two 7D's on order. Geez, oh and I have a new Canon EF 200mm F2.0 L IS USM yeah.. the $5300 one. :)

  • Ok, you did you, you showed us how rich you are, and tell you where your office is, and I am going to steal them :)

  • It seems a lot of you dont even know that xt cant squeeze out everything out of those lenses (300mm f 2.8 for example). So why would you use a great lens on something that cant get 100% from it...

Just for the record, Ive got 40D 17-40mm L, 50mm f1.8, and 85mm f1.8 USM and i know what good lenses are.

  • That 300mm lens is sharp across the board. Even the top Canon cameras can't squeeze 100% out of this lens.

Your 85mm f1.8 lens is a high performer and well beyond the performance of your 40D. So in your own words "why would you use a great lens on something that you cant get 100% from it..."

    I currently own 5D MK2 ,17mm F4L TSE, 24-105 F4L, 100mm F2.8 Macro, 70-200mm F2.8L and the jaw dropping 300mm F2.8L.

  • 300 IS or non-IS?

  • @all4golf

    IS, always.

  • No, I was asking 'Whatdididoo' which one he had.

  • I have the latest version. IS ^^

  • you are a CANON GUY, congratulations

  • clearly you know nothing about photography.

  • Yea sure, why buying luxury lenses but saving on a low-end DSLR?

It's weird asking the best quality on lenses but not using them on a full-frame model for the best possible result.

Light-sensetive lenses but a less light-sensetive crop frame sensor.

The lenses could do better but hey - i clearly know nothing about photography right, david?

  • camera bodies go out of date every couple months, whereas the life cycle of lenses is years... often decades. if you're going to invest money into anything, you want to invest it in the glass. the quality [and resolution and light sensitivity] of the sensor in the XTi is better than what was in the original top-of-the-line 1D five years ago. it may be a crop sensor, and there are definitely better cameras on the market right now, but it's no slacker.

ps - even the 1D Mark III is a crop sensor.

  • Aye, but its kinda stupid to have $10 000 worth lenses, and $250 body aint it?

  • Better than a $10,000 body, and $250 lens though....

  • why tha hell u say that?

  • the 40D is an incredible camera. the lenses make more of difference than the actual body does

  • lol xti?

  • My Canon EOS 300mm F/2.8L USM arrives in 2 weeks :P

    Nice Video :)

  • fucking hubble telescope in the back there lol

  • oh gosh. that comment made my day...nay, my month. you remind me so much of my friend andrew. he'd say stuff like that. and not to say you aren't a seasoned photographer but... google the canon 1200mm lense. now thats something i wouldnt mind owning.

  • A Luxury Series lens on a XTi?

  • so what? it's still going to take excellent pictures... better then the normal lenses.

  • Better so spend money on glass than a body. Retard.

  • you really need to get better camera right now...

  • WTH... He owns such good equipments yet he cannot make a proper movie that is meaningful, with proper lighting, clean, and steady.

    (N)

  • less tech and moor pictures :)

    nice lenses tow (Y)

  • The 135mm f/2L is the fuckin' cat's meow baby... blows the fuckin' doors off of ANYTHING that's out there... absolutely destroys the background and so sharp you could cut your steak with it...

  • Moronic.

  • Guess this guy want to show off he has expensive lens and high specs PC.

  • SERIOUSLY dude wtf? you have a canon 300mm telephoto on a Rebel XT? you should have just bought a damn d300!

  • whoops, I mean 50d. my bad. i've been looking at a lot of nikons lately :D

  • SERIOUSLY DUDE WTF? Read the info. It was a tweener camera. And I'd never waste my money on a Nikon. My 3 year old 5D has sharper per pixel sharpness, and slightly more res too.

  • really? what proof exactly do you have that the 5d is sharper on a per pixel basis? personal experience? because you sound like you're not the kind of guy who would buy a nikon to compare.

  • @dwillpro I know this is an old argument, but id just like to point out that the 5D is full frame when the D300 is not. Full frame always wins. Otherwise, the D300 is among, if not the best you can get in that class.

  • @AIDSbanana okay i am freaking tierd of everyone who is so retarded that its all about the camera... its the SAME SENSOR apsc or fullframe. brilliant i say, can you understand that it is about the glass ?

  • @AIDSbanana I can understand why one would want this combo (i.e. sports photographer), but I'd prefer a more versatile setup at first.

  • gimme your home adress ;d

  • i reckon u get a fullframe body, your lens deserve a better body

  • Nice stuff. I have an XT too, and right now i have my eye on a 100-400MM (USM/IS)

But I need something like... $1500..

  • cheesy

  • great setup dude

  • ui have those lenses with a 350d??

  • lol hes naked at 25 sec

  • lol, that's just his hand and fingers reflected, not his naked body, lol

  • "Smart" photographers know that it's all about investing in fine glass. You can have a million cameras and all of it being top of the line but it does NOT make you a better photographer and it obviously does not make your pictures any better. This was a great vid and I envy your lenses! :)

  • 100% correct! (as long as your camera get at least 1/2000sec exposure time. (i like a fast shutter)

  • man, you're really hooked on those lenses :)

  • Rebel ? Dude!

  • It's a bit old. I think i see a rebel xt isn't?

Anyway if he has money to buy a canon 300mm L why did he not upgrade to a full frame or a xxD?

  • mmm 50mm 1.8 MKII lasted you 10 years ???

think you might wanna check when you purchased that as it has not been available that long. i smell male cow dung

  • The 50 f1.4 = piece of shit lens.. All plastic aside from the mount.. The AF motor on mine died after three years of light use. Cost for repair was estimated at 150.00, plus shipping.. which means that if I were to fix it, and sell it, I'd make 50 bucks, minus shipping costs.. So, that = a 50mm paperweight. Disposable for the most part! Foir over 300 bucks, I'd at least expect it to last at least 10 years like my 50mm 1.8 MkII did! Go figure!

  • funny, mine works fine

  • I use an old 70s SMC Pentax 1:2 50mm lens with an adapter ring on my Canon. Works like a charm. Good ol aluminium.

  • body is important

  • Canon lenses rule! But I am a little envious of Nikon cameras.

  • On a rebel?????????????????

  • PRIMES rule! :D All you need to complete the set is a 24/1.4 ;)

  • I would have considered waiting for the "real" camera you mentioned (and spending some more time sharpening camera/editing skills).

  • its scary to mount a 300mm on a entry level camera (:

  • thats no entry level camera... a rebel is still an amazing camera

  • no, it is an entry level camera.

350d and 400d are not 'professional'

  • body isnt important, the lens make photo :-)

  • Nice gear! I wish Canon would make a modern Digital camera that would support older FD lenses. I for one own a bunch of them. Lets face it film is going out of style and I believe there would be an excellent market for a digital FD camera body.

  • You can find EF to FD adapters redily so you can still use your old FD lenses on newer EF fittings, ofcourse you will only have manual function , but still dont need to throw out your old lenses

  • True there are adaptors, but with adaptors there are tradeoffs unforutnately. Canon has the know how to produce a digital cameras. I believe that Canon could make a fortune even if they just produced one model to truely accomodate an fd lens. I'm not concerned about auto focusing I just want to use digital media over film with my FD lenses.

I don't know if Canon will ever do this but it would be a missed opprtunity mllions of FD lenses out there possible doomed to collect dust.

  • nah they dont have time to go back

  • im so jealous! haha

i think this video is ok, the huge lens must be very expensive :P

    i love this music!

  • am i the 23.238th person who loses his time with this video??

  • Really bad. You'd think someone with such an arsenal of photographic equipment would be able to focus. Jerky panning motions as well.

  • Wow, why is everyone on youtube a total asshole, or just incredibly dumb?

    The video is fine.

  • Why would a still photographer necessarily be a good videographer? They're very different disciplines.

  • it was with a canon sd600 point & shoot digital camera. it does NOT update the focus during movies. I only shot it so i could play around with editing video. Sorry I spent $3800 on my 300mm instead of a video camera, and slide rails. haha :)

  • Hmmm sounds like the green eyed monster has bitten somebody... A little jelouse of someones equipment are we? Perhaps its a Freudian thing..lmao

  • Is not possible to have 4gb in ram with a 32 bit OS

    lol

  • Lol, Vista Home Premium caps off at 3GB, which is what the video claims.

    You are right sir.

  • thats nonsense, home premium 64 easily supports 4 GB, and beyond.

32 bit caps at 3.25 Gb but you can still put 2x2 GB in the computer, the OS just doesnt make use of all 4 GB.

  • WRONG, i do have 4 sticks of 1gb each. Vista does not cap at 3.0gb, (to the guy below), it caps off at 3.25gb. But I could've had the 64bit edition which supports 7.5gb of ram. :)

  • 64bits supports up to 16PB (peta bites) of ram

  • Hi Have the 5D and the 28-300 Canon lens. Gives some great shots. If you know someone who has a 5D try it out.

  • that white lens looked like a Rocket launcher haha

  • tear :´(

    that was so beatiful

  • and u put all that beauty on xt? come one :) get urself a treat, nice 5D I would suggest.

  • there is nothing wrong with the xti. pretty comparable to the 40d actually. have you seen all the problems the new 40d's are having? now his 1d2 thats a different story. i envy you ff guys.

and thats a cool video. i like the part with the 300mm. reminded me of the space shuttle. lol

  • Where did you get all the money for this? I am jealous of your equipments....

  • i have a 1d mark II and 40d now, the rebel xt was just tieing me over for a while. :)

  • Whats wrong with that? The xt doesn't hinder the image quality any. I would suggest to anybody to start with a cheaper camera body, and invest in the glass you put in front of it. Whats the the point of buying a $2,000+ camera body if you don't put quality glass in front of it?

  • OMG MY DREAM LENS XP 300 f/2.8

  • lol i am NOT naked! I did it in my living room at college.. oh wait, maybe i was! haha jk, those are my fingers, holding a canon sd600 which took the video. :)

  • soooooooooo want like all of those lenses, esp the 300mm but also the 135

  • HAHA! He's naked at the 24 second mark! Look at the reflection!

  • lol! that's funny!

  • Oh please..

  • great video... as liamjames91 said ... canon should make this a promo video of their lens!

  • i like it.... and woaaaaah thats one mother of a lens! wish i could afford one, great video, supprised canon havent done summat like this as a promo video
