I have come to the conclusion, I am a real James fan. Normally I am not into metal, certainly not very heavy modern metal. James gives metal a good voice and performance.... he, I could listen to. Their are extremes in all music.... this is not where James will go from what I have read. With his new album coming out, I hope he will tour with a well known band. I know I will attend due to James.

It's like when you shoot a video on your cell phone at a concert. It doesn't sound nearly as good. Singers **RARELY** do a song better than the original artist. Steven Tyler said he hated Idol at first-even Muse and Priest have said how grateful they are to James for exposing another generation to metal and alternative rock. He has plenty of potential, but lets not go around saying that he's as good as a legend like Dio before he's even a one-hit wonder. We still have to see if Durbin can do the most important part....write good and memorable songs/melodies in a band.

@BigAlbinoDonky I agree with you-and I'm a huge Durbin fan. He does have control issues-but that can be alleviated with proper training and breath control. He's never had any formal training-he's raw, rough talent now. Hopefully he will find a decent manager, a good trainer, and forge ahead..I wish him the best. As far as being better than Dio-fans like to speak in an exagerrated way-just like they said he was better than Muse or Priest. I will say I'm more "excited" about James than anyone else

@zooby11isbambam I know this is way late for Idol, but I am sure James Tried too, because he did a lot of he songs he did before Idol, and he knows his was his best of them. Could have been two things. First, he was saving it for Semi-Finals/Finals (might not have been wise given what happened). OR they never got permission to sing it. They have to get permission from the Band or Singer. A Idol singer changed lyrics in a song, to a different song and Idol was fined big time (over $100,000)
