"Now I don't listen to him this time." means like, just because his heart got broken, doesn't necessarily mean you will. You need to make your own choices, and be yourself. Don't live life just by listening to what others say, make your own decisions and face the consequences.

From choosing which crayon would be the best for coloring a picture, to choosing which job we want. This guy obviously understands what he's talking about, and is sharing his experience with us.

Loving the Irish fiddle, the story he's telling, and the way his vocals have so much depth and variance. Not a single lyric is boring. Each line fits to the music, each one raises in pitch and feeling right on cue. I am someone who can't understand people who have 10000 songs on their IPod and the whole modern mass music culture. But all of Akeboshi's songs have something special that fascinates me. The lyrics touch my heart and I can understand the problems he mentiones in these poetic words. And his music is almost kind of meditative. Maybe his songs are sad because they confrontate you with the reality but at the same time they give hope by finding truth in this reality.
