Not really, "Berzerker" John Nord was Brody's protege. His entire style was learned directly from the Bruiser.

I tell you, though, I hated the Berzerker character! Nord had a back you could play golf on, massive muscle, and they hid it under that ugly tunic.

@bettydaw1970 Only in the 70s when they were still pretty much unknown as far as the effects and what they did to a man. He got off of them rather quickly. Brody was known to be more of a health nut, while others were partying on the road he'd eat tuna and green beans.

Wowthis is just an authentic and classic pro-wrestling by authentic and classic wrestlers. Two of the greatest and most technical men who had enough qualification to be NWA world champ. Both of them respected each other. Brody, who seldom complimented other men in the business, once said, "Dick Murdock (and Dory Funk Jr.) should thank God for his stuff and gift of pro-wrestling."
