after the installation i can see only directory shared from MAC but no way to view directories shared on my PC Windows7. The shared directory have right to Guest and Everyone.
I see the PC directory from MAC but not from AppleTV .(
Any suggestion to solve it?
Last but not least the MediaPlayer is at last version, but same problem with previous one.
@BamTuRe Hey man i figured it out. I made sure all the files I wanted are shared with "Everyone" and that "Everyone" has full access. Then I went to XBMC -> Videos -> Files -> Add Videos -> Browse -> Microsoft Network (SMB). From here you select your network and computer and find the specific files you want to make a your direct folder (I made this the entire computer). Once you open the file you want it to be use the left d-pad button and then click on "OK", then select OK again. ( Part 1 of 2)
@BamTuRe (Part 2 of 2) Now use XMBC to look through your files and test out the new connection. Once you know for sure your seeing your computers files and can access them go back to 0:58 in this video and follow xctechs' directions.
I am trying to share files from my ext hard drive that is connected to my desktop. For some reason I can not find that drive when I am searching the sources. Any suggestions?
it's not necessarily better than xbmc, comparing a apple with a melon here. And also performance-wise it is better ye, apple tv 2 doesn't really handle xbmc that well.
@M0rph3v5 true my friend, but remember XBMC can you zoom in the video and also fix the ratio to custom but loading video and compatibility and not crashing for right now aTV Flash is good :)
