Yeah, definitely should listen to gut instinct! It's amazing how much "power" we give people in positions of authority. Hope you get better soon! Peace back at ya.
YOu know everytime I don't trust my gut instinct it comes back to haunt me. I have learned a valuable lesson. Thanks for stopping in and Y'all have a great night!!
Hi there everyone, OH my goodness I am still itchen. They put me on benadryl and a steroid for children called prednisolone. Its not helped as of yet. I blame it on me.. I knew better.. I should of said something.. To late now, but when I feel better I will call that tech up and explain to him how serious this could have been. Thanks y'all!!:D
yeah it seems hard to understand, cos we are not doctors, but i agree, follow your gut instinct, and speak up from there, if something comes forth in you =)) just try your best to calm down, before you conway your message or questions, and you should be guided and fine =))
As a nurse, I've seen iodine allergy before -- and they should NEVER have administered the contrast to you. Did you get any Benadryl at all??? Talk to your surgeon about taking some now -- that will help with the symptoms at least until it's all out of your system. Sorry, sweetie ... I'd send a hug, but how about a scratch instead? :)
Your gut instincts are right honey-you know you may have to speak up to them for sure. Sometimes they just BEG us to LET THEM KNOW! LOL!-Advocate for yourself hard-because it means everything. Let us know if there is anything we can do! You are going to be just FINE!
Hi there. You can surely tell me one thing! Tell me how to get all those protiens down in the beginning. What is the secret?? I found those Isopure protien drinks and they have been my only life saver. :D
Hey honey! I started out thinking I would gag down the shakes-but NO WAY. I ended up using Protica. It's the 2.5 ounce vile with 25 grams of protein. I just mix it in some nice cold water to lighten it up. MUCH Better!
I will look into the protica, I like the Isopure beverage (not the shakes) they are like 50 grams per 20 oz serving, but are sooooooooo expesive. There are like $4 each. I am living off of them. I will look into the protica. Thanks for sharing!!! Have a great night!
Still working on it, still itchy, but hey I am 20 pounds down and it has only been a week. I am so blessed, and can't wait to hear about your success story too.

Your tube looks like it might be made of latex, have them check you for a latex allergy. Hope you are well soon.

Hey that is a great idea too. They are fixing to send me to a dermatologist if this doesn't stop.

OUCH! That looks very uncomfortable. I would tell that stupid tech's boss. Allergic is allergic!!! Geebus!
I hope your surgeon is able to give you something you can tolerate to fix it all up.
