    Hi sorry for the late reply, what i did was soak the valve and guide in penetrating oil. let it sit for a little while and then knock it down slowly with a hammer, then rotate the engine to raise the valve again and repeat the process until the valve moves up and down on its own.

    A stuck valve will also need to be reseated, you will need a seating tool and valve grinding paste to do this. Start with course then use the fine to get a good seat

  • @rustyreks Thanks i really enjoyed getting this old truck going, i dont think i will be putting it back on the road. As its a bit slow with a top speed of 35mph and i dont think the MOT centre neat me will think much of the cable brakes :L

    My next large engine project like this will also be unseizing an engine, this time it will be the 390 CI V8 engine in my dads old 59 Cadillac
