You lie! I've lived in Great Britain. They have a Nationalizedc Healthcare System, and in Addition they also sell private insurance for those who want it.

As an American who lived in Britain for awhile, I can attest I was treated right away when I had food poisoning--no waiting list.

So do yourself a favor dude, stop bitching, get your ass a passport, and see first hand how the other side works.

you're wrong.. someone in my family lost their job, got diagnosed with cancer was too young for medicare and fell off Cobra so I have seen the ER end of the system and I can tell you for a FACT you can't see any Dr you want and can't get the procedures you want and can't get the inexpensive procedures to prolong and improve life w/o health insurance. Perhaps we can meet to discuss?

The 47M folks that don't have health INSURANCE is not my problem - they all have access to health care. Congress caused all the problems with health care/insurance and now you want to give them more control? See that's what this is really about; more control. Big gov't got us into this mess, bigger gov't will not solve the problem.

The "claim" that there are 47M people without insurance is a BS claim. That number includes people who qualify for Medicare or other existing programs, illegal aliens and worse yet people who make enough money to buy insurance but CHOOSE not to.

My dreams are filled with a world where everyone is free from all but the minimum of government intervention as the Constitution outlined.

We have been getting railroaded for a long time now (about 2 decades or more at least), so we need to hold every representative accountable to the people on every issue.

So where are they on that issue now? They don't care because Obama is in office?

The people at the protest are not supporting greedy insurance companies as you so elegantly stated. They are protecting our rights to choose. There are scary things in this bill that are at BEST a slippery slope to Socialism. I suggest you come to a rally and speak with some people. You will find that they are not hicks but very nice, very polite people expressing their First Amendment rights and venting the frustration at an administration that is sending us off a cliff.
