just not true...If you would have seen the series too and not only the rebuild of evangelion movies you would know that.
The capsule does not explode with blood, it's the so called LCL liquid. It fills the entry-plug and supplys the pilot with oxygen. The scene were this is described appears also in Rebuild of Evangelion 1.01, when shinji first steps into the Eva.
i know what is the LCL and I've also seen the entire series. Inlucido all collections. Asuka dies is only for the Video, at no time asserted that happen.
