There are ample mythological/historical stories describing how at that time the son of a low caste Hindu started reading scriptures and became a higher caste. Simple put, it was like a profession. Once you and all the other Muslims can tell me who wrote your holy book, and why it's okay to treat women like they are second to a man and also present proof beyond what your parents told you then come and talk to me. There are ample mythological/historical stories describing how at that time the son of a low caste Hindu started reading scriptures and became a higher caste. Simple put, it was like a profession.
