I know you have a kindle. i just wanted to let you know about the website pixel of ink. it has free and bargain priced books on it. be sure to check it out it will save you lots of money!!! and you get to read a lot of books!!
Great video! I just bought War Horse yesterday! I haven't started raiding it yet cause I want to finish the book I'm currently reading first but I REALLY want to see the movie too!! The cover is BEAUTIFUL!!!! :) I love it! My copy of War Horse has the exact same cover :)
I actually don't like male authors either but George R. R. Martin's Song of Ice and Fire series is really good! I think you'll really enjoy it. I read through the first three in the series within a few weeks and they're all 800+ pages. Also, the HBO series is really good. It is a good book to screen adaptation and as long as you watch it with no children around, you'll be fine. There are a few sex scenes, but they're just an accurate portrayal of whats in the book. I hope you enjoy :)
i almost bought that same warhorse book the other day, as i love horses, and horse books dont really exist anymore, do they? i had no idea it was a series. i also wanna see the movie, but i'm really not into war, so i'm a little leary. anyway, i really want the books now, please let me know what you think of them! thanks for the info.
Gina, you should look up some footage from the Broadway play of War Horse. It is so stunning to see. I haven't read the book or watched the film, but the play made me bawl my eyes out. Great video. [:
You should read The Gargoyle by David Davidson. That's really really good! I know you said you don't like male authors - me either - but this book will get you hocked!
cassandra clare said she loves the tragedy of Tale of Two Cities and its one of her favs at the signing i have it on my nook and am hoping to read soon :).
about male authors, I understand what you mean but if you want to try out some male authors my recommendations would be the Maximum Ride series by James Patterson, the Escape the Furnace series by Alexander Gordon Smith, and the Gone series by Michael Grant :) all good books
also- Across the Universe is an amazing book. you should get it :). enjoy your books!
IN READING ORDER (I.E: Alanna is 12-20 in SOTL; DOTL, Alanna is 40) Song of the Lioness- Alanna the First Adventure; In the Hand of the Goddess; The Woman who Rides like a Man; Lioness Rampant Immortals- Wild Magic; Wolf-Speaker; Emperor Mage; The Realms of the Gods. The Protector of the Small- First Test; Page; Squire; Lady Knight Daughter of the Lioness- Tricksters Choice; Tricksters Queen. Beka Cooper- Terrier; Bloodhound; Mastiff (NOTE: Journal form/ 200yrs before Alanna books)
If u like Mulan, u should read the Song of the Lioness books by Tamora Pierce. It might be a little young looking but I loved it. Hannah might like it also.
Its about a 12 yr old girl (Alanna) who chooses (under a male identity) to train for Knighthood appose to going to the convent to learn sewing and dancing and ways to attract men.
Magic is presented in all Tamora Pierce's books as well female mages and warriors.
@DancerGrrl985 I have a John Green book and I am going to try it this year, I know many people like him. Recently, I have really enjoyed Scott Westerfeld becuz of the Leviathan series. Thanks for the suggestions :)
@MariBookz I am pretty sure it is ereader only. Because I don't see the option at all on Amazon, it only shows up on your ereader. It is cool though because all samples are free and all books you can sample. On audible.com anyone call listen to a audio sample of books. I like to do that, just to see what the voice and mood of the book is. You could check that out, hope this helped.
@XXBooksAlive22XX Only James Patterson's Witch and Wizard, which I hated! lol But, from what I understand if it has his name and another authors name, it was the other author writing the idea that he originally had, so I don't think he really wrote that book. I do like the graphic novels to The Maximum Ride series, but the rest of the books he writes are adult books. I do plan to try John green this year. Thanks for the suggestions.
Yes! Please do a updated bookshelf tour >;D.

HI Gina,

Do you know if it´s possible to download book samples in to the computer ? or are they only available to e-readers?

Great Video! As for male authors, have you tried any books by James Patterson, John Green, or John Saul? I think these authors are quite good.
