  • Nothing to discuss improvements we lose that, besides, is visually attractive, and natural for those who have worked and works with iPads, and similar instruments (could have muscle problems after many hours of continuous use).'ll try in the future, hang some video demonstration. For the rest, your work is good, Congratulations!.

  • The gloves I use is of a material called neoprene glove works perfect and I bought one size bigger, considering what you say, with the wires, the LED on the tip of the fingers and the battery is perfect. I emphasize: the idea of covering the LED, is to make it look really "Touch" and thus achieve a good effect on the audience. I see you use the glove with the LED at the tip, and with the palm facing you the same (?) it does not look very natural.

  • I think having the LED inside the glove would be uncomfortable. The LED would take up space inside the fingertip of the glove. In general I've found that you want to do everything possible to maximize the amount of light the wiimote can see, so covering the LED seems really counter-intuitive. I used a sports glove purchased at a sporting goods store which is part cloth, part leather and has a nice channel to route the wires in.

  • @MyCreativeGenius The led was external and not at all covered, judging by the color it was a wide beam ir led..

  • Hi, I think your glove design is awesome. I have been working with the wiimote whiteboard project for months and I think your glove is the best design I have seen. Could the glove have multiple leds in the fingertips? I was wondering if it could be used to type on a on-screen keyboard program. Can one wiimote see up to 4 leds?

  • I ran that last comment through Google translate and this was the output:

"No need to spoil a glove and put the LED on the fingertip.

This found that infrared LED light passes through gloves, cotton, Lycra and any similar material than leather or hard plastic.

Just put the LED below the glove, and the LED should be on the left side of your finger, so that the LED light is captured by the wiimote.

LED would be better not to look, to really look "Touch"!."

  • How would you use this to click to close a window or to open a programs on Windows OS?

  • I gotta try this. At first I wasn't too sure, as this makes typing difficult, but then I remembered the on screen keyboard. I figured I'd make two gloves which would make typing easier and faster (for when I do actually type). I have seen other gloves that put the LED back a little so you could type, but having it at the tip of the finger is more accurate for close viewing.

Do you have a "how-to" for making the glove yet? It looks simple, but I always find a way to screw things up, lol.

  • hello

please send me the project? explaining better? I'm trying to mount an infrared glove, but I'm having trouble ....... please help me ......

  • Thanks I await your writeup

  • Dragon: I'll do a write up this weekend. The gloves are athletic gloves from our local sports store. We cut off two fingers for more breath-ability.

DevilChild: The use case for this is primarily in demonstrations, or presentations when you'd be standing anyway. My favorite method of using these gloves is actually while comfortably seated on the couch while the wiimote is aimed at me to catch movements made with the glove in the air. See our other video.

  • I love your glove design, do you have a write up on making those? what type of gloves are those?

    Thank you

  • good goin..... but how long would u be using the coomputer STANDING
