@shepilot I love that airplane. I want you to know that I always took care of it whenever I instructed in it and it was by far the favorite. Good to hear that she did so well during the race. Did you ever name her?
I am 6'2" and own a cheetah, having owned a c-172 and trained in pipers and cessna's. The only comparison is that they all burn about 8 gph. One error by the instructor in the video is that you do not start on both mags. Since only the left one is impulse coupled you start on left only to avoid kickback which can damage the starter.
@marsgal42 They are decent. I'm teaching a student right now who's right at 6'1" and his head clears. What helps is that the canopy tends to "bubble up" right at the head level. He does however have to duck his head whenever the canopy slides open and close so that would give you an idea how close of a fit it is.
I love the sliding canopy. Looks like it could be modified and have some sort of glass Sun roof installed. just a cool thought. Fun little aircraft. Light and sporty look.
I have to say I love this little airplane and it is perfect for my needs.

That is one sexy plane...I could easily see myself in one. :-)
How are they for taller pilots? I'm 6'1" and am currently learning to fly in Piper Cherokees. I fit, but need to have the seat all the way back.
