The song was great live to begin with in my opinion, I saw a video of them performing it at Rock in Rio from 2004, but yes, they made a wise move slowing down the tempo. "Needles" naturally has an aggressive tone to it and the slower beat only enhances the dirgy, mean, sinister bits.

Lol I love how into it the boys get, especially at the bridge! XD Really fires you up!
