  • cool thx but were is the bios battery-show it-we found it alone

  • I replaced the dc jack on my acer 2480 and i know my batteries are dead but if it's plugged in, shouldn't it still start up? all i got now is a blinking led 1 light on the top left hand side...any ideas?

  • Good day!

    My laptop's Acer Travelmate 3260.

I have a question, specifically on the thermal module part. (6:55)

Is the blue rectangular rubber thing sandwiched between the thermal module and the two motherboard component replaceable? Any idea what it is called? I accidentally pulled the rubber thing apart. I made a temporary remedy; I re-attached the rubber thing to its previous location and put a thermal paste in the middle of it to dissipate heat even by just a little.

  • In addition, Whenever I check the temperature of the laptop, the mother board is always 5-8 deg. celcius higher than the processor (using CPUID HWMonitor, I do not mean to advertise it)

  • Thanks for a very useful video!!

  • this video is awesome, very explicit. but i still have a question: is it possible to change the processor just removing the back part of the case? i mean removing the 18 screws.

  • Thanks, upgraded RAM on 3680, the ram door is pretty hard to remove though.

  • @daweirdodude truth to be told, thats the most easily accessible component buddy. I've done a whole motherboard and cpu swap in the past.

  • @AndyNBR I meant it's hard to remove because it feels like if you'll break it.

  • @daweirdodude

    lol

  • thanks I love this video!!!

  • do i have to do all these steps to remove the cd/dvd drive? I have a travelmate 2300....thanks

  • Amazing, professional video!!! Thank you!

Acer 5050-3543 Vista, upgraded to 2 1gig sticks of Hyper X memory. Going to rip it apart and remove/re-apply thermal paste to CPU. Getting too HOT too QUICK after 2 1/2 years.

  • THANKS FOR THE HELP NICE VIDEO

  • GREAT VID

  • This vid is great. Helped me fix my acer 5570-2609 laptop that needed a new power board that I picked up off Ebay for 50 bucks. Way better than paying $300 to have a tech guy fix it. On a side note some parts can be skipped for my particular laptop because it didn't have those parts. Very easy to follow, just keep your screws sorted.
