@diplomats031 She was adopted & her biological father was Irish musician & mother was Oriental. She tried to get into the music business but was discriminated against by those controlling it. It took her a long time & hard work to become famous. Have you read her biography? I was adopted too. I was completely different from the family who adopted me & with completely different interests.

@MorningGloree99 - The blending of the cultures man, should have happened long ago, Common worked with Lily Allen and won a Grammy, hip-hop (not rap) and rock/alternative can go hand in hand perfectly when race is put on the back burner to good music.

@Compton3clipsed word. im glad you brought that up cuz i think its important for artists in different genres to collaborate with each other. It seems to be the only way to get partial fans to listen to other types of music. And i totally agree, i for one use to discriminate and categorize, but i realized that i was missing out on so many different, and appealing sounds. People should pay less attention to how music affects their image, and pay more attention to how it affects their emotions.
