I didn't like it. It just didn't do it for me. It's not because it's a sequel either, because I usually like them. First hostel was great. Great bunch of young, funny actors, good storyline, hot girls. I found the 2nd film pointless, and i didn't like the main 3 female actors at all. I have not personally seen these sites (nor do I want to), but I would not be surprised if such an activity existed. Eli Roth has stated that he intended to make a film that would entertain, but he also maintains he wanted to make a commentary about society -- and violence, both on larger and smaller scales. Roth is Jewish, and if you recall some of the scenes in the film, you'll note his use of imagery which alludes to the holocaust. The opening scene in the film depicts a huge furnace; throughout the film, German shepherd attack dogs are in use. Both symbols were intentional.
