You can download LL Cool J's song he wrote for and about NCIS Las Angeles from I-Tunes, but that is the only full length song that's been generated (or released) from the show. Just like the original NCIS they use a lot of great music from other artist's (ie. "I Grieve" from Dom's death). You can get a 2+ minute version of the original NCIS opening song from I-Tunes (along with several of the songs they've used on their show), but nothing yet available from NCIS Las Angeles.

This was an original composition written by James S. Levine and played by TV/TV, it is unfortunately just the beginning soundbite for NCIS Las Angeles, not an entire song. I have tried unsucessfully to get a full recording of this (and I've been a die hard fan of NCIS & NCIS Las Angeles since origin) going so far as to contact the producers of the show. There is rumor that a NCIS Las Angeles soundtract will come out (like the NCIS soundtracks), but no official confirmation or release date.

Unlike all the CSI and Law & Orders out there, it's actually focused on different types of work. Makes it more unique and intriguing.

@MoveOverHollywood I always feel like the two shows are both very unique in their own way and that comparing them is a bit silly. NCIS has 7 years of experience, kinda hard for a 2nd year show like LA to really compare fairly, but I think LA is doing well under the circumstances. It's the #1 new drama on TV, it placed #9 on the final ratings list, and unlike other spin-offs that just copy the same thing but in another city, LA actually does a different job than the original, which is refreshing.

Their stories aren't any more lame than NCIS's stories, and the actors fit well together, and let's face it, even NCIS in their first run was weak. As for undercover work, they've done it in every episode, so yes, they have done more on screen undercover work than Tony ever did.
