I've been to the Amazon. It truly is an experience you sure won't forget easily. It was amazing. I saw soooo many different animals, plants, and cultures. I stayed at Ariau (I believe that's how it's spelled) Towers...a hotel that's built entirely over the river...and it doesn't look at all modern, it blends right in with the rest of the rainforest. (at least not when I went about 7 or 8 years ago). If you ever get the chance, I say go for it. It's spectacular! =]
