I got mine like a month ago, the medium size wich is A5 is the perfect one for you to get. You don't need any bigger size because you won't even use all the space.

dont listen to this dude deedee0405.. He obviously dosent know shit about tablets. The size of a tablet only matters whether you draw with big strokes or small strokes. I myself make small strokes soo therefore paying twice as much for one a little bigger is not worth it. as for not working with widscreen your dumb, all bamboo fun's are made to work on with widescreen no matter what size. This is a great tablet for the money. If you dont have a budget get the cintique. DONT GET INTOUS.

JESUS CHRIST! i hate the small... i have it and it pisses me off so fucking much... especially since i have a widescreen lap top and a tiny ass tablet... bad choice on my part... plus you can't play counter-strike or any games like that because the mouse is fucking shit for that... you know it's basically just shit... the mouse sucks and the pen brakes every 2 days... i should have gotten the intous or whatever it's called...

why buy bamboo? I use intuos! If you want to paint and color you should've gone with graphire or intuos. Bamboo is mostly for offices.

when i bought the intuos i got : painter essentials, premier elements, 3 nibs and 1 felt nib.

Thats the tip of the pen. You need to replace it when it's all flat from using! they have different nibs. For example felt nibs are really easy to ink you sketches in appropriate softwares.

Why get a Bamboo instead of a Intuos well because a 4x6 Intuos costs $230 dollars. A Bamboo Fun only costs $99.

I'm trying to figure out the differences, so far the Bamboo has half the pen sensitivity, and less buttons/keys on it. Seems like the Bamboo is just a dumbed down affordable version of the Intuos3.

Pretty much. But again, you won't notice the extra pressure-sensitivity unless you work at the pixel level a lot, and how many buttons do you need? The only ones I need are Undo and Redo. :P

bigger is better, you can set active area on medium A5 tablet to A6 for example

if you are more used to large, arm strokes, like painting on canvas for example, get a larger one

if you use smaller, wrist strokes, than get a smaller one

I don't think it works on Vista Basic, so make sure you meet the requirements before buying something, (not trying to sound like an ass-hole!) I have vista basic and am probably buying vista premium when I get mine... which will be in a couple of days, lol.
