@fabrizio1973fabri NO, NO, NO!!! Bob Geldof sang vocals only on the version that was in the movie in 1982. This is Roger Waters singing. The only reason Bob sang vocals in the movie was because Roger Waters later tried out to play the character Pink, and the director said, "Next," even though Roger Waters was the one who wrote the script for the film. So Bob Geldof eventually got the part. *sigh,* You will probably try to refute this with claims containing no merit...
@Rorschachxx1985 are you kidding me!!!! Us and them, time, breath in the air, wish you were here! And tons more i could go on forever. How can you not like pink floyds amazing creativity and sound. There lyrics are unbelievable and addictive to watch and listen to. I am really not sure why you only like a couple of there songs REALLY? BTW im only 14.
@Co0kiEMoNsTeRzzz did u not read my comment u retard i said i dont like everything that they've done meaning i dont like their early stuff pipers at the gates of dawn right to atom heart mother, but yes i do like dark side of the moon, wish you were here, animals and the wall, i never said i hated them i love them and i love their lyrics, oh yh by the way i wouldnt give to shits if u were 14 it took me till 17 to appreciate pink floyd, not just the sound but the lyrics so i doubt u understand
@Co0kiEMoNsTeRzzz people like u need to shut up about ur age, it is NOT a necessity to state ur age, it has no relevance whats so ever, and dont come back to me knowing about their lyrics cause u dont, you're taking ur gcses i've got a diploma in media studies which involves journalism, it took my dad years to finally understand and appreciate what the wall is, with the complex lyrics and hes pretty smart, so dont come to me with this bullshit just when u think you've finally understood music!
@Rorschachxx1985 I Was just pointing my age out. You don't have be ignorant. You think i don't understand pink floyd? and just because im 14 you think i don't understand the lyrics and actual music? Go back to justin bieber. Plus why does it take to 4 years to understand and appreciate pink floyd? Don't come at me with your ignorance and stupidity you self absorbed piece of shit prick.
@Co0kiEMoNsTeRzzz well next time dont point out ur age cause its unnecessary, ignorant and stupid. How dare you tell me to go back to justin bieber i've been listening to music a lot longer than you have, all im saying is that if u read my comment that i dont like the early stuff then maybe we wouldnt be having this
@Rorschachxx1985 yes and i do think its because ur 14, pink floyd has a big sense of maturity, but i can probably see where ur coming from being isolated at school and what not cause the kids in ur class dont listen to ur music, i can get it loads. but please dont call me ignorant and stupid because i hate modern or chart music just as much as u do

I have been having a sublime experience with this album, almost religious. The concept of building a wall that isolates you from everybody else, loving it, yet wanting to escape sometimes matches up with my life perfectly. This is an album about depression, paranoia, isolation, and indifference, but also an album of confidence that the anti-social can break down their walls. The entire album after One Of My Turns takes place in his head.
Isn't it truly sad how the same can't be said at all about today's music? The Wall was an amazingly written story of a life that many can relate to, whereas today, music is computer-generated drums and mindless singing about menial things- to the point that a child can create "music" and make millions.
you can hear a faint hint of the final track, "outside the wall" before this song kicks in, reinforcing the idea of the album as one continuous song..
The movie was supposed to be the Earls Court footage from '81 but Roger Waters scrapped it. If David Gilmour had the filmed Wall shows in his possession then the concerts would have been out on film already. The live album Is There Anybody Out There? The Wall Live was released against RWaters' wishes (however he was outvoted by DG, Nick Mason and the late Rick Wright and Storm Thorgerson (who Waters also fired from PF) used the facemasks in front of a black wall for the live Wall album).
@coolfundylan Fun little tidbit, If you listen to the very end of "Outside The Wall" you hear Roger Waters saying, "Isn't this where..." and at the beginning of "In The Flesh?" you hear "...we came in?"
