Playing the score in our college orchestra this spring has made me even more appreciative of how incredible this movie is, both the film and its lovely score. Such a blessing to play such beautiful, touching, outstanding music! What a joy to watch and play again and again.

Up: by far, my favorite Pixar film. Close second to Toy Story 3, though.

For some reason, 5:51-6:03 really tugs at my heartstrings. Anyway, the score for this movie is one of my favorite movie scores of all time, and the movie is one of my favorites as well. "Up" is a movie that gets better each time I watch it.

We had one of the animators on this film graduate from my high school. Our mascot is the tornadoes, and if you look closely at Russel, on the right side by his little bandana thing around his neck, there is a badge with a tornado on it.

I loved how the pictures in the start of the credits were related to the sections/job (like sound designer would show a picture of Russell playing a trumpet, or the technical director would have a picture of Carl trying to use a computer etc etc) This movie was the one to inspire me to become an animator :)

Well, first we start with Ellie's theme, then we go to Russell's theme, then we come down to Muntz's theme, and finally we go back to Ellie's theme. Simple as that.
