dear brother, thought are coming not from brain/mind. But our brains and minds are coming from self source, as thought too. this source is emptiness. our thought should be FREE, and especially the motivation, the beginning of them. i will give me a permission to say-enlightment is not the end, but the beginning.
How can anyone possibly have no thought without a brain/mind? Surely there is no enlightenment in bodily form or bodily emptiness?? At what point does one become enlightened seeing things as they really are without thought?
Let go of preconceptions until Enlightenment/Realization dawns. The Buddhist path prescribes the way. Meditate and practice, and see where it will take you. Best wishes.
I'm so glad to hear the heart sutra said in a very similar way that I learned it. Thank you.

A thought is a wave of confusion coming from quiet sea of emptiness.
