@MrGolfpro65 yah, bud and i have this potion i composed in my garage last night that will make any man's hair look as full and stylish as george clooney's.
It can. One of many factors that can cause a slice is poor posture. You might be standing too close to the ball which makes it hard for your chest to rotate and the club have plenty of room to swing out to the ball. This would cause you to cut across the ball (or swing out to in as it is called) and slice. But people like Jim Furyk are perfectly comfortable standing close to the ball, but they make compensations later in the swing to "catch up" Hence his weird looking swing.
ye this is a great posture vdeo...thats the worst part in my golf swing, went to golf academy to get help and it defo helped but i still find it really hard to keep my spine angle as well as not tiliting to much during the golf swing, if i sort this tho i will hit the ball much better, especially my drives
Ok... now my uncle who took me golfing for the 1st time today.. for 18 deadly holes... and sucked... we came back worked a little then when we got a net up that we found again (now i can practice) says i am moving my WHOLE UPPER TORSO when i swing... is this any relation to the spine?
Posture is critical to the golf swing. I find that if I'm leaning too far forward on the downswing, I slice the crap out of the ball. Ideally, you want to keep your upper body perfectly still.
He is right. I am a beginning golfer, and I am always catching myself lifting in the middle of my swing. I'll either slice the ball, or hit the top of the ball. Then I see the ball bouncing about 15 feet in front of me!
Thank You. My friend tells me all the time that my head keeps coming up! Not any more!

Good reminder even for those who've played the game for years. You can see bad posture every weekend on the course.
