While he does sometimes have his off days, Chino has been sounding better than ever in recent concerts! There are also some great performances from 2003 once his voice had recovered.

At the time of this concert Chino was suffering from inflammation of the right vocal chord and partial paralysis of the left. He was told by his doctor to stop singing completely for a few months but didn't want to cancel any concerts and upset his fans. I think it's forgivable that he doesn't sound too good here at all! Since then his vocal chords have recovered and he's taken lessons and learned techniques to look after his voice better.

It's a shame his voice is shot from all those years of touring! It really takes away from the live experience. Though all the vocal training he's been taking the past couple years is paying off. He can hold notes alot better now! Going to see them may 4 and can't fucking wait!!!

One thing is Chino screams a lot during a performance, now put 5 performances a week, now do this for at least 8 months straight. Its going to have an effect. When you see a concert, its not the first time they've played these songs.

@perilious last concerts on 2009 with sergio vega on bass were a lot better... stephen set his guitar higher and he finished to fucked up the chords.. chino lost a lot of weight and he recovered his voice, i think that now he have a more powerful voice than before... sergio vega is not chi but in my opinion he did a really good job... watch the videos of area 4 festival and see it with your eyes...

while touring for this album chino got really sick in europe but kept going then came back to the u.s. and his throat kept bugging him so finally went to the doctors and it turned out he had strep throat and I heard it permantley fucked his voice up
