  • I grew up at Sunnybrook Lanes. The Lions were 2-14 in 1979, that's why Schenkel said, "They will be back" with a chuckle. Some 32 years later, we're still waiting....LOL.

  • Those masking units were new for 1980, just what are they named?

  • @sommerssmith They are the Brunswick 2000 series however they really came out in the late 70's and also the ball return hood and racks in this video are still of the Brunswick Astroline series which was the equipment group out by Brunswick before the 2000 series....

  • hey man was curious if you have more footage of this show? i grew up around sam zurich's pro shop and see him bowl league over here. would love to see some old school footage of him.

  • Yeah great post. I would like to see the Dickinson Zurich match myself. Grew up on LI. My Dad managed Century Lanes until it closed. Sam drilled my 1st ball at his shop an LT48. Those were the days. I remember watching this match. I think Sam gets a bad break and chops the 3-6-9-10. I would love to see it.

Ran into Sam at a regional a few years ago. He didn't win but of course made the cut to cash.

Wonder who you are. If you know Century Lanes I must know you.

  • nah im from florida. he manages a pro shop down here now when he isnt on tour.

  • Boy I miss those two on television. Brings back great memories. Thank you for posting :D

  • Thanks for postnig this. But is it just me, or are their faces awfully close to each other? :P
