  • which movie was it?

  • Audrey Hepburn was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside.

  • I want to be on Her place!!. I want to hold Jeremy Brett's [ this man in red, at the beggining] hand !

I love Audrey Hepburn. She's one of my favourite actress.

PS. Please forgive me my English... ;)

  • I wish I had been born then instead of now. I despise the modern world! I rather be part of an era where people knew how to act and where CG and special effects didn't make the movies. The actors and the atmosphere made the movies back then!

  • @susieyezie This IS so like the real life version of Cinderella! :)

  • Which came first, this movie, or Disney's Cinderella?

I wouldn't be surprised if Disney drew inspiration from this scene and from Audrey Hepburn as Cinderella!

  • @7:00 Ultimate cock block. I would have said "SCRAM! BEAT IT !"

  • That's my great uncle who asked her to dance!!

  • AUDREY HEPBURN’S BEAUTY SECRETS 2

"Remember, if you ever need a helping hand you’ll find one at the end of your arm.

As you grow older, you’ll discover that you have two hands: one for helping yourself, the second for helping others.

You’ve great days still ahead of you. May there be many of them."

  • If they ever make a movie about Audrey's life, Natalie Portman would be perfect.

  • @Ogiv I always thought the same thing!

  • @Ogiv exactly

  • The best Natasha!

  • Megan Fox has nothing on Audrey Hepburn. Class is prerequisite to being beautiful and Megan clearly lacks that.

  • I read somewhere that when Jeremy Brett(who plays her brother) first met her before the shoot, he was quite taken by her :)

He said: '' She was wearing no make up, her skin was of a porcelain doll...i nearly drowned in the pool with the beauty of her. I was spellbound''

Pity he had to play her brother!

She looks pretty damn good in this scene.

  • She looks like a princess! What a stunning woman.

  • I want to be like her!

  • What movie is this from?

  • @MultiTalent101 "War and Peace" (1956) Story is little bit different from real book . But this movie is realy good...... this movie made 1956!!

  • is people's in 50's has speak accent style ? they not look like people in 2010 accent style..so unique..

  • la mas BELLA de todos los tiempos!!!

  • Hepburn's first role in a motion picture was in the British film One Wild Oat in which she played a hotel receptionist.

  • a swan

  • I'd like to make her tiara spin around

  • She makes delicate look beautiful -3

  • @JessaAshley a delicate girl is always beautiful.

  • 不但人長的漂亮..又善良..戲演的好..又常常帶手套..超優雅的..跟她一起拍戲的女人當時也很幸福..很多配角都一起戴手套..

  • dripping elegance

  • @SerendipitousJ Well, it's like what Louis Armstrong said about jazz, "If you don't know, I can't expain it to you." I'm paraphrasing this, of course.

  • love even the way she just says "good". pure beauty

  • She is very pretty but I can't help but think she's more graceful than pretty

  • ...most beautiful women ever !!!....but pssstttt....don't tell my wife !...pls ;)

  • please god give us audrey back! we will give u miley cyrus!

  • The man playing her brother is REALLY cute! but I guess to pass any man as playing HER brother would have to be charming :D

  • My God she could wear a bag over her head and she would still stand out with that elegant and delicate and fantastic carriage.

  • @aiayumi I understand that beauty is in the eye of the beholder and if you don't think she's pretty, that's fine. But Audrey Hepburn was never, never obnoxious, she was always a lady- polite, full of grace and charm and had a genuine, considerate nature. Perhaps in her movies she did not always play characters as gracious as herself- is that where your perception of her comes from? In any case, if you don't like her, why watch this video?

  • @SheFallsUpStairs

I was looking for War and Peace movie....and she happens to be in it >___>...i would say she fits Natasha's role though

  • @SheFallsUpStairs

Exactly. And about her figure, she grew up in Holland during the Nazi invasion and there was little to no food during one long point before the area was liberated. And trust me, a lot of things that happen when you're still young tend to stay with you a looonnnnggg time, be it physical or mental/emotional. It depends on whether or not you're going to let it stop you, which she certainly didn't!

  • with this movie I feel in love with A. Hepburn.

  • is this the Regency period?

  • The most beautiful woman of alltime, without a shadow of a doubt. Audrey was pure perfection.

  • Love the scene, but what movie is it from?

  • What movie is this?

  • @musicalphantom2010 War and Peace (1956)

  • i'm in love with this film! Audrey was amazing beyond words. I'm heartbroke my age group doesn't have anyone this beautiful and graceful to look up to

  • shes very beautiful and adorable actress

  • What is this movie, please ?

  • @LunaBlackMG war and peace

  • @p1ngp0ngpanda Ok, thank you : )

  • i want her dress so badly!!

  • That's cute...."If I look bored and disdainful, nobody will notice it's my first ball."

  • Absolute Perfection. The most beautiful woman ever.

  • I love Audry, and she (as usual) looks stunning, but still...The Soviet War and Peace was perfection, and I liked their Natasha a bit better.

  • "If she loooks back at me and smiles, she will be my wife.." I have been personally waiting for such a confirmation for the past 3 weeks!! Indeed, after watching this scene, I realised considerably more patience is needed for young people today...

  • I want to see this movie so bad now! Hepburn is an incredible actress.

  • Love this movie and this scene so much!!! Thanks for sharing! Audrey looked as beautiful as always.

  • Audrey was so beautiful. I watched this movie yesterday on TCM. I love the old movies. I don't know how they do it with no commercials. Its the only channel Id pay extra for.

  • @fpm229 What movie is this from, please?

  • mel ferrer was her husband at the time; he played prince Andrei Bolkonsky ...

she was certainly one of my favorite actresses, and one of my favorite persons...

will there be another one like her?

    :-)

  • Marry me Audrey !!! I wish I cud !!!

  • most beautiful ever...period.

  • my fair lady

  • Wow she really was the most graceful actor ever..

  • It is simple. A male and a female with be together for their life. They just die together.

  • gotta be honest, my heart skipped a beat at 3:55 when she smiled. she was the most amazing woman to ever live.

  • Good elegance ! Love you Audrey !

  • what movie is this?

    Steven

  • hi well i check again it's dam close.. she wore it to the ball has lose moving stones ... looks the same.. check out let me know what u think...

  • singoutlouies

I have cheked War and Peace and My Fair Lady on DVD and the "crown" tiar are not the same but rather equal. War and Peace was mad 1956 in Rome and Fair Lady 1963/64 in Hollywood.

I recommend you to see The Nun´s Stroy were she is excellent and Love in the afternoon and all the others.

    Best regards

    Steven

One of my favorites is Charade where she was so very beautiful and a very thrilling movie.

    Steven

  • Russian version is much better. You have to watch both natashas to compare.

It's not the best Audrey's role. She was great fresh and innocent in Romans holidays. here it's just acting wery contrived. Ludmila Savelyeva is trully fresh. maybe it's her age. Audrey is a bit too old for this role.

  • And russian version has incredible V.Tikhonov, real prince Andrey Bolkonsky

  • She was only 26. Henry Fonda was badly miscast.

  • It is not Henry Fonda it's Mel Ferrer.

And accourding to the book she's 16. It's her first ball.

  • Mel Ferrer was better because Fonda was far too old.

  • Audrey's so beautiful

  • I love Audrey Hepburn very much but Ludmila Savelyeva is the greatest Natasha Rostova!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i love her she´s divine!!

  • You would never guess that Jeremy Brett is playing Nicholas here , his voice and appearance are quite different from how he sounded and looked in his later career. Anyway, he and Audrey where good together, here and in 'My Fair Lady'. I wish he had played her leading man in a movie, she seems to have quite liked working with him.

  • "Sollen alle denken ich tanze nur mit meinem Bruder"Soo hammer!Der film ist schön und traurig zugleich!

  • awe she's so tiny! i love her swan-like graceful neck. so beautiful

  • so beautiful

  • @Doallure audrey hepburn got voted the most beautiful woman in the world second cheryll cole then maryln monroe then angelina jolie as last

  • @foximaxi35 i agree with that, only cheryll cole does not belong in that list, in my opinoin

  • what year is this from?

  • it was in 1956

  • War and Peace

  • What is the title of the movie that this is from? I love Audrey Hepburn and want to watch all her movies!

  • A masterpice paintig by a great master!

Wonderful Natasha Roustova by unforgetable Audrey !!!!

  • Beautiful! Audrey Hepburn, (the daughter of a Belgian Baroness in real life!), is magnificent! So are the gowns, the uniforms and the ballroom! I remember the ball scenes slightly, from when I first saw the movie as a child -- but I remember more Henry Fonda & others being marched through the snow. Horrid!

    PEACE IS GREAT.....WAR IS HELL!

  • This is so cool and stylish, there are no words for it ^^

  • Ooooooooh I love it I love it (since I was twelve years old...) There's no Natascha like Audrey, tho whole film is simply wonderful.

  • I love this scene and the movie. But most, I love Natasha, Audrey's character and of course, Audrey :)

  • Great

  • AUDREY FOR EVER !!!!!!!!!

  • Has anyone seen the movie "Mayerling" with Hepburn and Ferrer? I am lokking for it since years.

  • So, You have seen it? I Know, it was no success, but I would like to see it to?

  • Yeah I saw it. Stick with the Charles Boyer version. Mel Ferrer was a very bland actor.

  • Mayerling was made for TV not movie!

I have seen a smal clip on some site for Audrey H.

  • what is this film??!

  • I think the movie is called War and Peace. ^_^

  • this is from what movie?

  • so beautiful and pretty the way they dance, if i tried that i would fall flat on my face :D audrey is truly enchanting

  • She's a pretty one

  • I always love to see and hear Audrey. I always think oof her as a breath of fresh air.

    A true angel.

  • I always love seeing Audrey playing a bit of a brat.. it makes brats like me not feel so bad about it. lol.. but I certainly love watching her play a girl feeling completely out of control of her situation and so insecure about it. It really shows her range!

  • Oh! How many times I have watched this!?

    She is very lovely.

I remember, "in Spain it rains on a plain"...

  • Hey everybody, did you know that the gentlemen costar Mel Ferrer in this movie actually married Audrey. True story! Anyway, Audrey in my opinion is the purest most beautiful woman actress to be captured on film. When you look at her, you can see her honest pure heart. Its very very rare to see this much light in someone.

  • She's So Lovely.......

  • Audrey Hepburn is very beautiful. I'm obsessed with her beauty. I'm simply attracted to her. To me, Audrey Hepburn was the most beautiful woman that ever lived on earth. I love Audrey Hepburn......

  • Same here. She was and will always be the most beautiful women that ever lived on earth.

  • Audrey Hepburn should have played Helen of Troy or Psyche etc. It's just too bad that when she became older, she was still elegant but not as lovely, especially compared to when she was young. I guess if she had stayed lovely she wouldn't be human anymore, haha

  • Audrey is so beautiful here,so charming and youthful and bubbly.

  • turbokaz92, Audrey was so beautiful & elegant. She is a fantastic dancer, as well, besides her natural acting ability. A LADY! - Penny (Thank You for posting.)

  • I love Audrey Hepburn, but the best Natasha Rostova is in russian version W&P by Sergey Bondarchuk

  • ok, i know all of the super audrey fans are going to hate me, but what movie is this from?

  • war and peace

  • cool

  • Ah so pretty & what an emotional classical movie =D

  • what a great act by her. too bad she didn't sing, but it's so lovely when she dance..

  • Yup, the BEST Natasha Rostova. I don't understand why this movie didn't win as much acclaim, I thought the actors were all excellent and the cinematography was quite smth too!

  • Because Tolstoy fans want more! XP

By its nature though, War and Peace seems like an incredibly difficult novel to set to film. There are so many things going on that isn't shown outwardly by the characters or by the plot.

  • je l'adore

    Moscou Russie

  • Uma das mais belas cenas do cinema !!!! Audrey está deslumbrante !!! Que cena suntuosa!!!!

  • The best Natasha Rostova!

  • best actress ever, her ellegance, personality, sweeeeeeeeet

  • Beautiful, amazingly beautiful.

  • amazing

  • It's so beautiful!

  • Es como si Tolstoy hubiera estado viendo su hermoso rostro al escribir la guerra y la paz.... cool

  • thank you so much for uploading this part! it was one of my favorites and i've been looking for it everywhere!! thank you so much

  • what's war and peace about?

  • Mostly war, really.

  • and peace ^^sorry, that wasn't funny..

  • read it

  • i just loved this part of the book :)

  • arcydzieło

  • does any one know what film this is?

  • War and Peace

  • 'Like holding springtime in your arms' ahhh.

  • Audrey Hepburn and Mel Ferrer were a perfect couple. *sigh*

  • love this part^!! to bad the audio is terrible :( but thanx for uploading ^^

  • Audrey Hepburn was unique in the history of Hollywood - perhaps it's the childlike vivacity and sincerity of response to everything in she encounters; she exudes this in almost all of her famous roles - Roman Holiday is a perfect example. Pity the sound on this clip is so poor...
