Whenever they "die" they are teleported to the nearest Tomb World, Tomb Ship, or Ghost Ark for repairs.

Only way to really kill a Necron is to destroy the tomb he's in while holding off any Tomb Ships that he may teleport onto.

Guardsmen are a stronge Militaryforce and could defeat maybe any assault but they are also normal humans, not very strong and take much hits before dying. and yes I know that they have a lot of tank and stuff and there is a factor that you might have forgotten, their Moral. Do you really think their holding position when there are coming Orks or Tyranids that their forces reach the horizon? (Tyranids, easy to defeat, they are devouring Planets)

The biggest threat with both the Necrons and Tyranids is that so far we only a small part of what they truly have to field on the battle field.

So far with the Tyranids only small parts of the overall force have entered our galaxy.

The Necrons they are only starting to wake up so we have only seen a fraction of what the units that Necrons can put on the battle field.

So something or someone is making the Tyrnaids deliberately avoid all tomb worlds even though they never let anything stop them before.

@Erikjust in the new necron codex apparently the reason behind the tyranids avoiding the tomb worlds has something to do with new tech developed by necron crypteks that messe's with the hive mind. that and the c'tan terrify the tyranids.

Now the Necrons mostly remind you of tomb kings in space spiced with a little Eldar and Tau, i was REALLY disappointed with it. R.I.P Necrons you where a great army before it was decided to pussyfy you and make you a wimp army.

@Erikjust um, not saying i like the new backstory more (except the new leaders seems pretty cool and the new units would be great for a DoW 3 game) but havent the Necrons always been Egyptian themed Undead in space? at least thats the vibe i got from them when they first came out. only thing bad about them imo, now, is that the new story got ride of the C'Tan, otherwise i dont see a problem, only real difference is that they have intelligence and are not mindless, which makes for better lore imo

Oh and the Necrons ALWAYS hated the younger races in fact they hated all life.

The great thing about the old Necrons where that in a sense they where death incarnated when they came to your world you knew you had two options fight back or be killed or dragged of to be fed to their c´tan masters nothing else.

You couldn´t bargain with them or in any way reason with them.

The only thing that I have learned is that if you die by these automatons you will shortly find yourself as a Pariah. Only a great Crusade/alliance will finish this inmortal scourge.

The most horrifying experience I've ever had in a game of 40k is when my friends Necron warriors were coming up my right flank. I had Lascannons, 20 Guardsmen, a Platoon Command Squad, and an Armored Sentinel on that flank, and they only brought down 5 warriors. My reaction? SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII­IIIIIT!!!!
